The Better Boxer? Hopkins or Toney

Hopkins has plenty of natural ability. He proved he could take a punch early on, and he was 95-4 in the amatuers. Hopkins is as smart as Toney, can counter-punch as good, but that only would make him even with Toney. What makes him better are two things: 1) better agressor 2) effort My opinion. aggresiveness doesn't fit into Toney's style but I cantell you that he's plenty agressive. He just never looks it b/c he knows how to stay ultra calm in the ring and save his energy. effort is the only thing that Toney lacks.

Toney. If Toney had even half the work ethic of BHop he would be a monster. You won't find many with as much natural boxing ability like Toney has.

I Think Hopkins Is A Better Boxer. Hopkins Is More Dedicated To The Sport . Toney Is Very Good , He Can Take A Punch And He Is Definitly Willing To Do What It Takes To Win. Hopkins Is A Better Adjuster. With Every Fight Hopkins Has A Different Game Plan. He Knows That Styles Make Fights.

Toney is an overall better boxer, but hopkins is more consistent. In my opinion, had toney stayed at middleweight we would have stopped talking about hopkins years ago... I would agree with that statement..

Id just go with Toney, but I didnt wanna say it to early in the thread. Thats probally because they are close in skill but me likeing James a lot pushes him over the edge.

both are great IMO...i think Hopkins is better but I like Toney more

i'd say nard is the better overall boxer, although toney is master boxer as well.. toney's best qualities are defense and counter punching, while nard does everything well...

nard can adapt just like toney ..toney more skilled naturally but nard work ethic second too none

b-hop started as a brawler, learned to counterpunch and developed reflexes, now he's kind of a mix of a guy who can brawl when he has to, but mostly stays on defense looking to counterpunch . he doesnt really have a one sided style, bernard is what you could call 'a ten dimensional fighter', he can brawl, he can box, or he can just slack off and catch a breath avoiding your punches and picking perfect shots on you. HE WILL OWN TAYLORS JAB WITH THE OVERHAND LEFT!
