there is no good reason for 40 percent of people to think a guy who has yet to face a top ten fighter can knock out the heavyweight champ. maybe if they fought ten times peter would catch him once. maybe.
Agreed. Peter has no head movement, he plods along like an old goerge foreman. He has no footwork and he throws wide looping punches. It's easy to beat guys when you are fighting guys ranked # 40 and 50. What happens when you get in there with a guy who is not nicknamed glass jaw or featherpuncher?
If he doesnt develop some necessary skills he is going to have huge problems as he Is short and needs to find a way to get around advanced jabbers and to avoid getting hit.
one thing tho, how can u say vitlai by decision, and not vitali by KO. cuz vitali has never been down in his career. peters has never faced a gy who can punch as hard as vitali
so if anything it should be
VK KO, or peter decision
my rprediction is VK KO tho.
The only reason I say that is because vitali is a boxer first, puncher second. I think that, if they were to fight, VK would try to stay outside (away from peters' power) and box him. The other reason is just because it looks like Peters can take a punch. I haven't seen him really get nailed yet, but he's somewhat "Tua-like" in his build, so I'm just going on a hunch.
Anyone can get caught, and Peter is the type of fighter to put you away when you get caught. That being said, VK has been caught before and fights VERY well after being buzzed. I have never seen VK lose his composure or ring smarts.
So VK matches up well againsts Peter only really asset, his power. VK whitewashes Peter on every other catagory. Part of the problem with the heavywieghts is the lack of a big name and lack of good fights. Most of the hate towards VK is because he has not had many great close fights and at this time he probably never will. VK stylisticly and physicaly outmatches every heavyweight fighter right now, I would favor him against anyone. Its hard to stay exicted about a fighter that "can" take apart the whole top end division but so far in his career has not be able to make the fights happen.
hmm
Hatton defeated Tszyu without holding a major belt or defeating a top 10 fighter at 140. Peter with his style I think COULD do the same. It would take a beast to beat Vitali, and Peter has just as much chance as anyone.
Vitali is my man but Peter could hurt him. It's unpredictable though because Peter has limited experience. He should fight a top 10 guy like the loser of Rahman-Barrett or a guy like Brock, Brewster, etc. Him vs Brewster; imagine what an explosive fight that would be.
Anyway, right now the most logical choice is Vitali by stoppage but it was logical for Tszyu to beat Hatton, so...
and how is peter supposed to knock out VK when VK has took lennox lewis's biggest bombs and corrie sanders biggest shots? because peter winning a UD seems very unlikely,

I picked Peter by KO, but I actually just want to see them fight.
It's probably too early to put Peter in against someone like Vitali, but I don't see how Peter can win by decision. I think it will either be Peter by KO, or Vitali by decision.
Probably Vitali by decision, but I wanted to put one down for Peter, hehehe.

ur prediction?????
Makes sense for him to call out "The" Heavyweight champ. The fact that Vitali is the one that everybody calls out and wants to beat in order to lay claim to the top shows you who the boxers think is the legitimate champ right now. It's an interesting fight if it was to happen though. Vit jabs him to death and then takes him out when Peter is beat up in the 6th. At this point we just don't know how good Peter is because he hasn't really fought anyone. He is making the heavies more interesting I will definitely give him that.
