I dont rate Judah as highly as most people do but he'd beat Gatti, there on a different level in terms on ability. Gatti maybe had a chance a few years ago but Judah would punish him now.

Gatti's gotta fight a mediocre 147. He'll carry the weight well, so he'll be stronger at 147, but so will his opponents. I think the top guys are a little too much for him to handle now. His face has just taken too much damage. 1 jab and he starts to swell up. I'm not sure if he'll even be able to go 12 rounds anymore, unless he fights someone that has really soft hands. I think Judah would beat him fairly easily. It's just the wrong fight for Gatti. The thing is, I wouldn't be surprised if Gatti gets offers from some of the top guys at 147 if he wins his first fight in that division. Gatti is still one of, if not the biggest name in boxing right now, and getting a PPV bout with him is the best way to build your image and increase your fan base. Even if Gatti struggled through a low rank 147, I bet he'll still get an offer from a top 10 welterweight. Edit: Oh yah ... Gatti has to do one more fight in Montreal.

The more I think about it the more I see it happening. Not in 6 months or anything like that but the more I read into Zab's career the less it impresses me. I give him credit for his win against spinks in st louis, but i am not the only one hear who questions spinks talent to continue on Zab's resume' a KO by the hands of KT needed a split decsion over corely and lost to spinks in the first fight. His biggest win was maybe junior witter?? and the kicker micky ward went the distance w/ this guy But im lookin down the line and Gatti goin to be almost 34 in his nxt fight in 2006 so I wouldnt like to see him take a fight like this, maybe in 2002 I would have liked to see a Gatti/Judah match up. for now maybe Gatti goes after Estrada or someone on those lines at 147. yea I asked the some question in another thread hell it's good for both fighters because it would be another huge payday to answer the question I would have to go with tyzu but I would root for gatti None of that sub par boxing shit from gatti though if he tries that he will but a straight right from tyzu and that will be the end of it, he has to brawl and get in close and not give tyzu enough distance.

I'm saying Zab wasn't running. You make it sound like he was being like Spinks against Mayorga or Hakkar against Hopkins or something. Zab was still hitting Ward at will. Backing up doesn't equal running. That would mean Lennox Lewis did a shitload of running himself, which I wouldn't say.
