I heard someone say that they would "have a go at roy if they met him" bullshit, he wouldnt acknowledge you, Roy would have beat Eubank in a one sided match, what did Eubank possess that Hopkins didnt when Roy beat him one sided, and Roy put a hurting on Malinga and played with him before KO'n him while Benn got defeated by him, Eubank was horrible to watch he fought a draw with ray "who" close and avenged it by split decision before being destroyed by steve collins. Steve Collins would be the only one who would have given Roy a good fight and still probably would have lost by decsision. Stop talkin about the Montell Griffin fight watch the second fight when Roy laid him out with that left hand and had Griffin strugglin to get up.
If Roy Jones was in front of me right now I'd be having a go at him, I'd probably even fight him! So it's not reduced to message boards :)
i think you're hilariuos to even consider this...
I apologize. I made a big mistake. His official record is 44-7-1.
Hey man you're forgetting that Roy Jones ducked Larry Holmes in 2002 when Larry called him out. Instead LArry had to fight Butterbean. Therefore, we should compromise and call Roy's record an even 43-8-1.
How can anyone argue with the fact that RJJ was great? He is one of the all time great boxers! I still don't think he's done! The first fight with Tarver was close, and of course Jones is going to come out on top! He was KO'd against Tarver the second time, as well as with Johnson, but as far as Griffin goes, yes he schooled Roy up to the point of the disqualification, but Roy was on the verge of finishing the fight when he fouled him! Jones will get revenge against Tarver and Johnson by KOing both of them within the next year!
He is an all time great, people just like to hate fighters on message boards.

Roy was on the top of boxing for a long long time and he was a very cocky/arrogant guy at times. Since he was undefeated and never really tested people couldn't hate on him since they had no back up. So when he finally became mortal and lost twice in a row by KO. All that hate that was held in and came out.
All that hate of mine came out way back in 1993 when he blatantly dodged Nigel Benn when he was Benn's mandatory, and things got out of hand more and more and more until he became a laughing stock.

IMO,Although he was lost in his lastest two matchs, but he is still one of the greatest boxers in history.

Now you're making me tack on a 7th loss. He ducked Doug Dewitt becuase he had kaoyed Roy twice in sparring. If they fought for real...Dewitt ko2.
Roy Jones:
50-7-1
OH~THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
You are the first one who can say Roy has 7 loss in his professional match in the earth!
I am lucky enough to see the rarest post in the world!!LOL!!! :p LOL!
Your post is the rarest in the world!LOL!MY GOD!LOL!
Let's just call it 6 losses, he would have been kayoed by Gerald McClellan anyway.
And add a draw for not fighting Michalczewski.
Michalczewski???
LOL!!!!
Dare he go out of Germany?LOL!
McClellan?
I don't think he can defeat Roy in professional boxing! He is lucky enought not to fight with Roy as Professional boxer.
Roy will KO him before 8th round!
McClellan is only a common boxer who lost NB in 1995!LOL!
4 if you count the complete and total ass blistering Montell Griffin out on him in 97.
No,he only lost two matchs.
One is with Tarver-II(5/15/2004)
Another is With Johnson(9/25/2004)
Roy Jones Jr. DEFEATED Antonio Tarver in the first match between them by UD!
In 97,Roy should have Knocked out Griffin in 9th round, but the referee thought Roy broke rules! When Griffin was down,Roy added one punch!
Roy have defeated the guy.
So Roy only lost 2 matchs in his career in the condition that his physical function failed!
I don't think he was lost in the first match with Tarver.Roy won the match by 115:113.
