Why shouldn't it be held in the UK when it could fill a 60,000 stadium there. MSG would be great - but a packed stadium would be something special - and could well be where the money is for both fighters

May has said that he'd never fight at MEN. Full stop, and he's right to adopt that position. Arum is not an idiot. MSG sounds good to me, and why not. The 3-hour time difference with England is acceptable, and it's only 2-hours to the Pacific Coast. I'm sure the 1000's of Manchester boys can arrange some affordable charters. Also, all those MSG ghosts would love to see the throw-back Hatton take on a modern-era slickster.

i was emphasising a point buddy. plus the US will always be the home of boxing if it hogs all the main fights!!! :D ;) the main rason gfor this of course is the casino's pay money to put the fights on to attact folk. in england the promoter has to hire the venue! floyd has the wbc belt and is the real champion at 140, everyone know's that. no disrespect to hatton but he needs to go to the champion, not the other way around. U.S are you serious? mayweather labelled that belt paper as it was a belt vacated by Tszyu! whether he really meant it or not, we don't know. if anything both champions are as equal as each other here........but however impressive mayweather was, doesn't mean at all the he is the real champion..... ricky hatton could have an easier claim to being the real champ..... they are dead even IMO and let's see if they meet.

It holds 70+ but you can add on quite a few for the extra seats on the playing surface. Thats big, they would be selling binoculars with the programs.

I doubt Calzaghe and Lacy would take anywhere near as much a Hatton and Mayweather, but you have a point. I think they will sell the tickets for more and people will still pay because both fights have a huge importance in their divisions. I think the Cardiff stadium holds about 60 - 80 thousand(i'm not sure on that) so there would be enough money to go round. The location doesn't matter. They should just have neutral judges, which I think they already do. The only thing left to do is pick a neutral referee. A ref that's neither American or English. I'd rather have that, as long as the refs not from Germany.
