Silly or not, this is what seems will be the biggest stumbling block to the showdown EVERYBODY wants to see to determine who is the REAL DEAL at 140.
Where should it be held (being fair and not bias)?
Why shouldn't it be held in the UK when it could fill a 60,000
stadium there. MSG would be great - but a packed stadium would be something special - and could well be where the money is for both fighters
May has said that he'd never fight at MEN. Full stop, and he's right to adopt that position. Arum is not an idiot.
MSG sounds good to me, and why not. The 3-hour time difference with England is acceptable, and it's only 2-hours to the Pacific Coast. I'm sure the 1000's of Manchester boys can arrange some affordable charters.
Also, all those MSG ghosts would love to see the throw-back Hatton take on a modern-era slickster.
i was emphasising a point buddy.
plus the US will always be the home of boxing if it hogs all the main fights!!! :D ;)
the main rason gfor this of course is the casino's pay money to put the fights on to attact folk. in england the promoter has to hire the venue! This could be changing when our archaic gambling laws are changed.
he has fouight in the us 3 times and germany once, how many times has mayweather fought abroad?
you can't say that mate...whether you like it or not, the only true HOME of boxing is the U.S....
everybody in the boxing world knows this.......
mmmmmmmmmm maybe........although i'm a peasant points wise.
No worries, I was just kidding around. I just though it looked funny to see people debating over whether or not a fight will even take place, never mind who will win it  .
U.S...Kostya did Hatton a favor by traveling there and KOSTYA WAS THE CHAMP!
Hatton could return the favor to the boxing world and get over here to the US...
that was funny mate......considering professional boxing is the most corrupt sport on this planet.........
how many favors would you expect?

I dont think Tszyu will see it as a favour when he looks at his bank balance, he was doing himself a favour.
I think Hattons a bit stuck in between making lots of money and living his dream of a championship fight in Vegas.
Could they get a really big stadium thats suitable for boxing in the US??
floyd has the wbc belt and is the real champion at 140, everyone know's that. no disrespect to hatton but he needs to go to the champion, not the other way around. U.S
are you serious? mayweather labelled that belt paper as it was a belt vacated by Tszyu! whether he really meant it or not, we don't know.
if anything both champions are as equal as each other here........but however impressive mayweather was, doesn't mean at all the he is the real champion.....
ricky hatton could have an easier claim to being the real champ.....
they are dead even IMO and let's see if they meet.
I went to the Challenge Cup final there a few years ago but I can't remember what the view was like. You're definitely a lot closer to the pitch than at Wembley though so it might not be too bad if they get some big screens up.
They had the roof closed when I was there and the noise inside was fantastic.
I bet it was mate, that would be an amazing night if it happens.

I think beating Tszyu is a lot more important than beating Gatti, especially consider Gatti was gifted that belt against Branco. Regardless of who you think would win Hattons got to be classed as number 1 until Mayweather proves otherwise.
Thats big, they would be selling binoculars with the programs.

rubbish. hatotn beat the lieaner champ who never lost the three belts in the ring til ricky beat him. Mayweather beat gatti a blet that was inherited when Kostya was stripped and gatti and that world beater branco faced off for it.
are you quite mad. ;)
as far as the linear champ belt goes, its in manchester mate.
thats as clear as it can be.

The Ring belt is the "real" champion if there is such a thing. Mayweather doesn't have that one...
Mayweather may be atop p4p but his wins at 140 are over Corley, Bruseles, and Gatti - not enough to persuade some critics that he deserves the nod over the man who beat the man

I doubt Calzaghe and Lacy would take anywhere near as much a Hatton and Mayweather, but you have a point. I think they will sell the tickets for more and people will still pay because both fights have a huge importance in their divisions.
I think the Cardiff stadium holds about 60 - 80 thousand(i'm not sure on that) so there would be enough money to go round.
It holds 70+ but you can add on quite a few for the extra seats on the playing surface.
The location doesn't matter. They should just have neutral judges, which I think they already do. The only thing left to do is pick a neutral referee. A ref that's neither American or English.
I'd rather have that, as long as the refs not from Germany.
i think if that was the case then Calzaghe and Lacy would definitely have a take in that revenue........so it wouldn't be as much then as the two other big fighters would lessen the pot.
