What sport pays the highest?

Poker, bodybuilding, golf, chess etc are not sports IMO. A sport to me is a game/activity with rules requiring physical exertion and skill engaged in competetion. Poker does not require any physical exertion/prowess, unless you call moving the cards that. Bodybuilding doesnt either, in the actualy competetion they just pose there and it requires no skill. The training may require physical exertions but thats like calling miss universe a sport cos those women may have had to run to loose weight and look good. Golf requires skill but not any physical prowess, same as snooker. Tennis, football, boxing, wrestling etc on the other hand, it has it all. Physical prowess and skills required, you cant be a skinny lil geek who has the skill but the energy of mr.burns to win those. All of that except for Golf my friend...IMHO. Golf is on the same league as Billiards/Pool and Bowling (as demonstration) sports.

Billiards and Bowling are demonstration sports. They're not included in the olympics as regular sports. POKER is not a game fer gosh sake people!

It takes physical prowess to drive the ball 300+ yards and to hack the ball out of the long rough.

Guys, the number one sport on average that pays the most is Baseball. You have your Arods, Carlos Beltrans, and Adrian Beltre's making 150 million easy....... There is no salary cap in baseball, such that the yankees payroll is in the quarter BILLION dollar realm this year.

my brother, through online poker alone, has accumulated $20,000 nice the thing thats hard about online poker is that the biggest advantage an adept player has is taken away. the biggest advantage in poker is how to read someones face, actions, or etc and assume what kind of hand they have off of that reaction.

Another way to look at it, is that in his prime Mike Tyson was making 10 mill or whatever for less than 3 minutes of work in the ring a couple times a year. I know there is training and all that, but baseball players for example put in close to 500 hours of on field playing time per years. If you string Tysons earnings out to reflect a normal 40 hour work week the guy was making in the billions. lol
