Who is the Pound 4 Pound Champ Mayweather or Hopkins? Bernard the only man who literally owns his own division in boxing; or the seemingly unstoppable Floyd who alongside his father makes up one of the three best "one two" fighter trainer combo's ever alongside Mike Tyson and Cus, as well as Ali and Angelo. But looking at Floyd Mayweather alonside those names and looking at what Hopkins is doing I'd say you have to give the nod to Hopkins. Judah, Marquez and Corrales would round out the top five not necessarily in that order. What do you think?
Mayweather.
Hes been dominating his opponents for the most part and has a much nice list of opposition. And I think if they were in the same weight class Floyd would have his way with Hopkins. Hes just a better boxer. He has more skill and more speed/reflexes.
I agree Mayweather will need more testing until he can be an undoubted legend. But I also have no doubt if he trains like he did for Gatti this guy will clean out the 147 lb division, after he is finished at 140. That's when people start comparing him to the Sugarz - "Sugar" Ray Robinson and "Sugar" Ray Leonard and Mayweather getz his due. That is if he stays sane and out of jail.
I must admit, until I saw first hand what Mayweather is capable of when he trains hard, and with the insane amount of potential I saw in Floyd recently I had said Hopkins. And Hopkins will defend his claim vs. Taylor I have very little doubt if any at all there. But I have to be honest, (the undefeated) Mayweather is the closest thing to being a dominating P4P King since Roy Jones jr. and is the NEW P4P champion of the world! When Hatton goes to sleep what does Mayweather have to do to convince the rest of you?
Taylor to be #1 has to beat Hopkins and Wright
Hopkins is old as fuck now so a win over Hopkins won't mean much
All I know is that a prime Hopkins would OWN Taylor....
Thanks for the (Uncle) Roger Mayweather slap :boxing: my bad that's what happens at 2 am; And I still have to say the tried, tested and true Hopkins still has the crown here. Taylor has a shot to really change things in the P4P area as quickly as Pacman did. But lets not forget Hopkins is a fighter and a boxer and a puncher and hasn't appeared to be stoppable ever since finally shaking of the "Roid" Jones jr masacre. Roy is one of my all time favs and is on my P4P alltime list but the guy had to be on something.
Hopkins, although nearing 41 is still the best pound for pound fighter. We havent seen Jermain Taylor against elite competition yet so if he beats Hopkins hed be up there. As far as Hatton, he proved that he is the truth. He beat what many experts say was the best pound for pound fighter.
I cant wait for that fight..Taylor has never fought anyone as strong and technically sound as Hopkins.

If Hatton doesnt get out of his backyard, he will never be able to reach that plateau. Taylor can take the next step, but I'm not sure if he's ready. I think he CAN beat Hopkins, but I dont know if he will.
Comin from a doo that believes Mandy Moore is his fucha wife, I'm declining to believe this uttered crap!
What do you mean in years to come. Their time is now. Hatton beat Tzyu. Taylor will beat Hopkins. The two respective long time champions of Superlightweight and Middleweight.

LMFAO! Hatton? I can see Taylor inching his way up there in years to come, Hatton too. In YEARS to come.

you mean his uncle roger
floyd hates his father.
I say to hell with both of them. Gayweather will lose to Gatti. I nominate Hatton and Jermaine Taylor (After he beats Hopkins) as the #1 pound4pounds.
