Just watched Mayweather/Corralles

Corrales will never beat Mayweather because of his style. Mayweather doesn't have to hurt you to make you look foolish. It's all about the style and Floyd's style is taylor-made for Gatti. Corrales isn't the same boxer that stepped into the ring against Mayweather last time. If anyone has much of a chance to beat Floyd, it'll be Chico right now. He's got power, great handspeed, and in the last couple of years he's remade himself as a boxer/puncher. Honestly, I think he's probably the only fighter who stands a good chance of catching Floyd flush with a big punch. If they fight again, I think sometime after the 6th or 7th he'll start catching Floyd with left hooks occasionally. How well Mayweather can take those shots will determine how the fight ends. I don't think Floyd can take more than a few, personally.

hell box his ears off but he will never hurt Gatti Mayweather just doesnt have any power. Mayweather does have a little power, but nothing that would trouble Gatti with one shot. He could TKO Gatti, but it'd take time, and alot of accurate combinations. Gatti does have a chance to win, but not until late in the fight, and then only if he can lull Floyd into taking a few chances. And at Mayweather's age, it's possible...he's arrogant enough, certainly. If that doesn't happen, though, it'll be another lopsided win for PBF.

if his head wasnt there he shoulda pulled out the fight, theres no excuses when u step in the ring, Mayweather was near perfect that night, Corralles the big puncher could even hit Mayweather flush, he threw 5 punches one round, thats his own fault, a rematch would be the same, Corralles might in a round or 2 but he will still get stopped. Mayweather is too good for him and he will show his greatness against Gatti. He wasn't gonna pull out the fight when that was his biggest payday to date. If you were going away for a year & knowing you weren't gonna be able to provide for your family you would take the payday regardless if you were prepared or not.

And they don't seem to impressed by Floyd's behaviour in the ring. I think he complains to the ref at one point that Castillo is pushing him into the ropes. I can't remember if that's exactly what he was complaining about. He's a great boxer, but he doesn't seem to deal adversity very well. yeah but when its all said and done he won both, when kids in the future look at his record like i look at sugar ray robinson or leonards, they will see all W's, it dont say by that fight he really lost it or he dont deal with adversity well, plus thats only one fight, he has beat everyone hes faced and it will continue with gatti.

I didnt see those 2 Castillo fights but ive read that the 1st one coulda went either way, and so could Tarver/Johnson 1, so what , at the end of the day floyd has the W on his record, And didnt he win the second one more convincinley? The second fight was closer but in no fucking way was it convincing, I had Castillo pulling out a win or a draw on that one. Wrong fight to base your opinion on. You should watch the Castillo PBF fights and maybe you will say that Gatti is gonna KO Floyd. It is not gonna be as lopsided as you think. I think Mayweather wins but Im not ruling out Gatti. Gatti can be a good boxer also and bangs harder that Floyd. The only thing Floyd has a big advantage in is speed and that is what will probably win him the fight.Everything else is a little more even but Arturo has more power. I would fall in love with Mayweather if he stands and fights with Gatti. a rematch would be the same?... no way.you won't be seeing corrales throwing only five punches in a round. he should of pulled out?... even not being able to train properly knowing he was going to jail and also knowing that the purse from the fight was court ordered to go to his wife/girlfriend didnt stop him from getting into the ring with mayweather. the outcome will be different in a rematch. a heavier, more power in the punch corrales will gain revenge against the unproven power of mayweather. after mayweather/gatti and corrales/ hatton i hope we see a corrales/mayweather. I think everybody is right here. Mayweather still would have won that fight had coralles' head been in the fight, but DC would have thrown more than 5 punches that one round. Mayweather at 140 is actually getting a little more daring and he is more willing to stand in there. If Mayweather knows that he can win a relatively boring fight by running around like a madman, why should he stand in front of a dangerous puncher. In his last two fights with Corely and Brussles, he had no respect for the power, and he was rocked as a result. Gatti has a punchers chance, but at the end of the day, Mayweather should win every round and hear the crowd boo.

Corrales' head was in the fight, that's just an excuse created by Corrales fans and taken by Mayweather-haters. He was all talking before the fight how he's going to kill Mayweather and shit. Mayweather simply said, "I'm going to beat the man who wants to kill me."

anything can happen....we've already seen floyd lose to castillo, so he IS beatable...plus corley had him in trouble, so he's hurtable too...but yeah gatti only has a punchers chance, but thats still a hell of a chance

hey, i have an idea...why don't the alphabet organizations and promoters all get together and give Mayweather all the belts from 140 to heavyweight and all the cash he can carry...i mean, we all "KNOW" what the outcome of the gatti fight and any other fight involving PBF will be, right?? no we don't..no outcome is assured and any post regarding a fight that is yet to happen is pure opinion and speculation. that's why they actually fight these things because all kinds of variable come into play in a fight. any one fighter can look like a world beater on "paper", but when you step into the ring, reality takes over. someone may be a superior boxer, but what if he's tagged and hurt early in round 1? what if he's cut by an accidental headbut? those plans go out the window. that's why the best boxers are able to adjust to various situations in the ring. i wonder what the forum posts would've looked like before the Tyson v Douglas fight or the Ali v Foreman fight. we all KNEW what was going to happen then, right?

Nothing is for sure in boxing and to say that a rematch would yield the same result, especially taking into consideration the underlying circumstances of the last fight, is foolish. Corrales will always be an extremely dangerous fighter and has a punchers chance against anyone in the lighter weight divisions.
