I think that after Tyson gets done with Mcbride,he should go after Danny Williams for a rematch. If Tyson is in the shape that everyone says he is,(Jeff Fenech,Dan Rafael, etc.)he should have no problem ko'ing Williams. In their first fight, Tyson was landing hard uppercuts to the body and head basically at will. The problem was that Danny could take a good punch and Tyson ran out of gas. Tyson's trainer Fenech has repeatedly emphasized the importance of conditioning Tyson to fight the whole 10 rounds.
So, with this being said, would a rematch with Danny Williams be in Tyson's best interest or would it be repeat of last time and a potential career ender?
Okay... what if he did rematch Danny and the knee held up, but... he STILL lost? What would that do to his stock then?
If he lost it would definitely hurt Tyson, but I don't see him losing. Watch the fight & after the knee injury everything turned. It was good for Danny Williams because if he loses no one knows his name, but since he won he got some pub. Don't bet on it happening again though. And by the way stop hatin on Hopkins. He is your favorite fighters favorite fighter. 20 straight defenses & still hate. Damn some of you have shit for brains. People should have nothing but respext for Hopkins. He is a fucking BOXING LEGEND.
Tyson should def fight danny williams, but not next cuz danny has a fight with skelton next month, and Tyson said he plans to fight 6 weeks after this fight
I always think it's good for fighters to attempt to beat those they've lost to. Of course, if you really get your ass handed to you and you know it would happen again, there isn't much point. But, I think beating Williams might not be a bad idea for Tyson.
Tyson is like Oscar De La Hoya. He only fights once a year now. He only wants 1 fight a year. Don't buy the hype. If Tyson wins we will see him again next June. If he doesn't, we will see him agian next June.
Good observation, I'm not gonna get my hopes up that Tyson will fight again this year after Mcbribe. But then again, I'm intregued by all the positive stuff I've been hearing about the Tyson camp and also by Jeff Fenech's training of Tyson. Hopefully, Tyson and Fenech can prove all the doubters wrong.

That would be very good if he 225 pounds. That would be exceptionally good. Then if he fights 6 weeks later or 8 weeks later he will stay in shape and continue to improve his shape.
As a Tyson fan, I hope that is what happens,(fighting 6-8 wks later)but I'm not gonna be unrealistic in my expectations. If and when Tyson fights shortly after the Mcbride then I will be a believer.
I was just waiting for McKay to inject the 'weight factor' into this thread. :o I'm guessing Tyson will weigh in at 225-229lbs for the Mcbride fight.

If Tyson weighs in at 224 pounds or lower vs McBride he take out pretty much anybody I listed above except maybe Klistchko.
Against Williams Tyson was in shit shape (3rd highest weight ever 233 pounds)
Again Lennox Lewis (second highest weight ever at 234 pounds)
in the 80's and early and middle 90's he usually fought in the range of 216-222 pounds.

I'm sure Danny Williams wouldn't take the fight unless it was a major purse anyway so I think the discussions are a moot point...
Danny Williams can retire saying he knocked out Mike Tyson!
Danny Williams?!!
I'm sure that no matter what he says, he knows he got away with it last time out and would get demolished if Tyson is on form.
No matter if Tyson is washed up/fucked up or whatever... He hits fucking hard and that hook can still take your head off (providing its' in the first 2 rounds when Tyson can still throw!)
Fights I want to see above a rematch with Williams
Tyson vs Krasniqui
Tyson vs Valuev
Tyson vs McCline
Tyson vs Brock
Tyson vs Peter
Tyson vs Maskaev
Tyson vs Barret
Tyson vs Rahman
Tyson vs Donald
Tyson vs Nobles
Tyson vs Wladimr Klistchko
Tyson vs Touch of sleep Williamson
Tyson vs Lance Whitaker
Tyson vs Matt Skelton
and eventually Tyson vs Ruiz and Byrd
and if he wins
vs
Klistchko
There is absolutely no reason for Tyson to rematch Williams...Williams ain't that great and it wouldn't do anything for Tyson's new attempt at a career..he doesn't have all that much left in him and if he wants a final title shot he needs to get there soon...Williams would be a waste of time...although so is McBride
Although Williams'stock is low, I think that alot of Tyson and boxing fans would like to see a rematch and some redemption for Mike. I agree that it wouldn't sell as much as a matchup against either Klitscho but I'm sure it would sell alot and give Mike the confidence to go against some top contenders like Toney,Valuev,Brock,Mccline, etc.
I am Tyson fan. I dont want to see him fight Williams again. Like I said if Tyson does anything less than utterly destroy Williams it will make him look bad. I want him to Krasniqui after a couple lesser opponents then go after Byrd and Ruiz and he wins fight Klistchko.
I dont think Tyson would have any trouble at all with Byrd but he would with Ruiz. But Ruiz might get caught with an uppercut with Tyson if he wants to fight inside all day. However effective grappling is an important tactic against Tyson.
NO I dont Williams would beat him again. But Danny Williams stock is really low right now after getting destroyed by Klistchko. If Tyson does not KO him in rounds 1 2 or 3 it will make Tyson stock go down.
I want him to fight some new opponents like Krasniqui or something.

And a rematch with Danny Williams wouldn't make him alot of money? Do you think Williams would beat him again?

Emphatically NO! He should fight McBride then try to fight one of the high ranked heavyweights like Krasniqui. Then try to get a title shot against Byrd Ruiz. Then if he beats them fight Vitali Klistchko. Don King will risk his belts on Ruiz and Byrd if they fight Tyson because those fights will make so much money. Plus Tyson apprently has a good relationship with King now.
