Who do you guys think will win the rematch?

I think Johnson will win in convincing fashion this time.He had less than three months to prepare for Tarver the first time around, after his biggest win of his career over Jones Jr.He wasn't all there mentally and physically against Tarver,so I feel with the rest and the time to prepare for Tarver,he'l be more sharp in the rematch. Johnson by TKO9
Saturday 18th June 2005 - FedEx Forum Memphis Tennessee
Glen Johnson - Antonio Tarver - IBO Light Heavyweight Title
Magic Man Antonio Deon Tarver win by KO :boxing:
there is no way tarver is losing this fight, too much money to be made for a trilogy and tarver imo has all the tools to beat johnson this time around. it will be very competitive but i see tarver winning by a score of either 115-113 or 116-112.
i also see tarver winning the third fight between them if and when it happens.
I sure hope Tarver does not win, I can already smell Tarver vs. Hopkins...quite possibly the most boring fight ever.
I am a cult fan who doesn't miss anything and I can almost almost almost say that it would not hurt me to miss Hopkins v. Tarver...fuck that would be bad.
people fail to realize that tarver is NOT a KO artist and johnson hasnt been KOd since his loss to hopkins in '97, and johnson's never been knocked down either. with johnson's chin and tarver's lack of spectacular KOs, this one will NOT end in johnson getting KOd.
sidenote: tarver knocking out roy jones is not spectacular. jones has a weak chin and he was caught flush. jones getting KOd by a mediocre punch just goes to show that jones was a poser. it was a spectacular result from an unspectacular punch.
Johnson by KO in round 12, he had him hurt then he will do it again but earlier and finish him.say good bye tarver, time to wake up and smell the coffe the glencoffe that it johnson style brew baby
This Poll sickens me :o
dont worry brah, Ima put on my sig the peeps that were misleaded and think that Tarver wins. LOL
Jest like I did wit Hatton vs Tszyu.
This proves the majority of BOXINGSCENE know shyt bout boxin. Especially the ones who act like they know, but they DONT!
hotter girlfriend
Towards the end of hard fights he just doesn't want it enough. And Nothing can make up for that.
Johnson has a hotter Wife, lol.Tarvers wife was that chubby blonde headed chick behind him when he lost the decision.
Yeah, everyone thinks Tarvers a young hungry fighter, when he's not.At 36,I doubt he has the desire to put up with Johnson pressure another 12rds,so he's gotta go for an early KO,which is always possible but I doubt it would happen.Honestly,I like Johnsons chances of Kayoing Tarver better, because he'l be digging into Tarver 36yr old body all night, which will leave Tarver head wide open.Yeah,ya'l can laugh but a stronger Glen Johnson will show up in the rematch, since he's had more time to prepare for Tarver this time around. The first fight,he had less than three months to prepare,so dont just think Tarver will be the one that made a big adjustment to gain the edge in the rematch.
I understand where you are coming from. I realize Johnson is one of your favorite fighters. I will also say....that in boxing, strange things can happen. And if you consider Tarver knocking Johnson out strange:
I thought Tarver knocking Jones out was even more strange. I dont like Antonio Tarver, and actually agree with Oldgringo to a certain extent in that I would rather see Johnson win. I like him for what he is....a journeyman who has lost 9 fights. He is by no stretch of my imagination a greater fighter than Antonio, despite how you think he is.
A journeyman before he won a World title that is.And half those losses were flatout robberies.
I see Johnson on the same level as Tarver, regardless if Johnson doesn't have the flashy, polished boxing skills that Tarver possesses. What I see in Johnson,is a hardworking pressure fighter, that maybe limited talent wise but makes the most of what he has unlike Tarver.
Yeah,I would be shocked if Johnson got KTFO,maybe a similar feeling when my other favorite fighter JL Castillo got Kayoed by Corrales.I think Johnson is similar to Castillo, because I know Johnson wont be easily Kayoed, without giving it his all.
Johnson is the kind of fighter that proves your record is not you in the ring.
Tarver might have more talent, more power, more flash, greater skillz, more ametuere experience, better trainers, a Nike deal, a hotter girlfriend, a real promoter, and all that shit but when you get in the ring you have to win the fight yourself.
Which Tarver did not do against Johnson. It's Tarvers fight to lose, but I have no doubt in his ability to lose it again.
If he doesn't get the KO in the first 3 rounds I think Tarver will get beat again.
Towards the end of hard fights he just doesn't want it enough. And Nothing can make up for that.
I single out anyone who doubts Johnson can beat Tarver again. It's like saying Barrera has no chance against Pacquiao if they had a rematch, which is understanding but a little ridiculus to me.

That is called stereotyping. And another thing: I already posted what I thought ten times...especially on the Antonio Tarver thread. It seems funny that you only single me out...when plenty of other people are picking Tarver.
LOL!
