Why Vitali will beat toney

if toney can find a way to stay inside he could win..but its a very difficult task..but i think he can jus stay chest to chest with vitali..vitali needs space to punch and taking it away would give toney a shot i agree, toney would need to do that, but that's not toney's preferred style to fight... usually, he likes to let the other guy come to him and counter... against VK, toney might have to be a pressure fighter(that was lewis's gameplen)....

(not so much outside of it) ;) i agree with that, toney is a bright guy, but what says VK is not as smart, he has a PHD, speak multiple laguages and has never done anything to suuggest he's dumb...

i think toney is a better fighter(skills wise), but i dont know about smarter... i do think toney is smart, but i dont see any evidence that VK is not as smart... 1. Vitali's jab will keep toney away from him while vitali uses long rang punches to pot shot toney. 2. toney doesnt dodge every punch he will get hit and vitali probally hits 5-10 times ahrder then anyone he ahs ever faced. 3. when toney gets hit even if it isnt clean, it will wear him down liek in the jirov fight vitlai will beat on him. his arms or whever the punches land will hurt toney later on. 4. i dotn see hwo toney is gonan egt inside to go to the body he'd have to open up to attack and we akk saw what happen to danny williams. 5. even if toney does get inside his power wont have that much effect at all. and even if he does place body shots as the case in the danny fight he is gonna have to pressure and atatck vitali, that is not toneys style, his body shots wont do anythign cause vitali will just sit at logn rang pop that jab, gather and bomb him. vitali throws 70-90 punches. 6. thought i should add this in aslo, vitali isnt as slow as peopel claim he is, if u notice he leans backwards and also jumps backwards kind of liek a little hop, agasint shorter fighters he really uses this to hsi advantage, he hops back to avoid haymakers and body shots and leans back to take the steam off of stright punches, vitali can use this move effectivly agaisnt toney. danny williams is 6'1 with a 79" reach. toney is 5 9"- 5'11"?? with a 76 reach. he is gonan have a horrible time hitting vitali. this is pretty much a case where size and syle outweigh skill. Toney, in terms of ring smarts and savvy, is one of the respected fighters in the sport for his old school mentality and ability to focus effortlessly in the ring. The problem in this fight for Toney is the sheer size difference. Vitali is a foot taller, and at 36 and how injury prone and out of shape Toney has been, this is literally a very tall order for him. He'll be a deserving underdog, and his chances are slim, but I wouldn't write him off. Vitali Klitschko is still a relativly unproven heavyweight, and sheer size isn't always enough. oo ok I was like WTF I think Toney is really smart in the ring, but he needs to get more disciplined outside the ring.. I agree. Being 36 and injury prone isn't going to help him when he's putting on that much weight in between fights.

Toney is the farthest thing from disciplined I've seen... The fact that he's fighting at heavyweight says it all...

Toney sux he didint show anything in the Ruiz fight that says hes a dominant factor in the HW division, he does not have a chance against Klitschko if he comes in like he did vs Ruiz, Klitschko is one of the smartest fighters ever he will just pick Toney apart and KO him. If this fight ever happens which I wish it would Klitschko wins by KO within 8...

vitali is the only heavyweight who backs up what he says and lives up to expectations. he KOs his opponets, he gives great performances, he has the tools to unify the titles, and has the smarts to defeat any heavyweight in the division today. toney says he can KO anyone and he couldnt even KO john ruiz, even when he was on steroids. there are two obvious things that can make vitali defeat toney: VK's reach and power. toney's probly the best in-fighter in the world today, and a great counterpuncher, but if he cant get past a pole-ax of a jab and right hand (which he cant), then he cant beat vitali. im not saying that toney cant beat vitali, but toney will be a HUGE underdog.

I think Vitali gets the easy decision in this bout.

that was 10 years ago, toney is much smarter now, plus VK is no where near as fast as roy was to pull that off. I think it will be a very interasting fight. VK has the size and is a very good fighter, but his in ring smarts and skills can not match with toney. not even on his best day. toney is a crafty fighter, but in all honesty, he did beat Ruiz but he didn't impress me at all.....and even his punches were more like catch-punches than power king hits..........so i couldn't see him having any chance against VK.

i strongly disagree that toney is smarter then vitali. toney got knocked down because he was being dumb agasint roy. he has been lazy soemtimes and toney doesnt come into every fight in fighting form liek vitali who is always ready and in shape that was 10 years ago, toney is much smarter now, plus VK is no where near as fast as roy was to pull that off.
