To be honest with you... The best fighters in the World are the Mexicans.
That P4P shit is rubbish.... If you compare the level of opposition over the last 20 fights between Hopkins and Morlaes, it tells the proper story.
good point about the level of opposition, Morales always fights the best and he deserves to at least have an = ranking with B-Hop p4p, but the U-S-A makes the world go around in terms of boxing economics so the American fighers will always get a little more pub in terms of p4p rankings....
Floyd, however, has fought and beaten fighters from the US, Mexico, Puerto Rico, etc, his fists don't discriminate!
Of all time i probably the U.S. they have a much longer history in Boxing. Mexico was still busy finding its self image with wars, and politics till about the 1940's. Boxing started in Mexico probably 2-3 decades after that.
Right now though i would say its Mexico with the biggest Momemtum. They are winning big and giving people what they want.
Mexico has had LOTS of fighters
I would vote Mexico for the most # of boxers but how many GREAT?
Julio Cesar Chavez, Ricardo Lopez, Salvador Sanchez, Morales, Barrera, Zarate, Pintor, Olivares, etc.
USA had WAY more champions than them...
I can name 50 in half a second...
Look in the hall of fame book, there is way more USA fighters in it...
Mexico has had some really good fighters
but Robinson, Hagler, Louis, Ali, Frazier, Hearns, Leonard, Dempsey, Marciano, Tyson, Aaron Pryor, Hopkins, Willie Pep, Pernell Whitaker, Oscar De La Hoya, etc. all came from the USA...
Cuba is the best country for amateure boxing since 1974 Cuba has won 29 gold medals the United States is second with 21. Thats the most detailed info I can find on Amateure boxing.
IF all the Cuban medalists went pro, they would probably be dominating the sport of pro boxing, they win medals at all weight classes.
But United States hands down is best for pro boxing.
yes in terms of amateur boxing cuba is by far the most domonent country, stevenson and savon in paticular spring to mind as great champions. but i'm not so sure they would all succeed as pro's, remember a lot of these guys are just fighting ''kids'' guys that are 18, 19, 20, so to say they would probably dominate is a gross overstatement on that basis.

By Far MEXICO.............USA is nowhere near the top either.....although seeing it has all the money, and makes many champions, it might seem that USA is the best.
Let's not forget the Asian countries too....just because they are smaller fighters, doesn't mean they are not champs.
if mexicans had the facilities like U.S does, they would be unstopable...U.K has only provided lewis with the help of Canada and Jamaica...Cubans might be the most naturally talented boxers...puerto ricans have been a little under rated, their fighters define finesse, but for now U.S is definitely on top.

You didnot specify if youre refering to professional boxing or olympic/amateur boxing. USA is the best as far as the pro's is concerned
what do you guys think is the reason why the U.S is decreasing the producing of great boxers today. Is it becuz sports like basketball and football are the ones Americans are interested to? Or is it to become a success in education rather than putting your life on the line to make money. hehehehe. It's crazy.
I think it's because the top athletes in the US play more basketball and football socially, while boxing is seen as a sport for guys who couldn't cut it at basketball and football (soccer and wrestling fall into the same category as boxing in my old 'hood), at least that's how it has been in my own environment
