Gatti Mayweather, A war in the making?

Floyd will box and pot shot because that is all he needs to do to beat Gatti... I think this is right on, and unfortunately, it could make for quite the dull match... I hope Mayweather decides to trade at least a couple times in the fight...that would be fun to watch...

Is it possible that neither Gatti nor Mayweather will use thier conventional fighting styles and instead we could have another Gatti-Ward? except that this time Gatti will play the role of the slower more powerful fighter and Mayweather the quicker boxer. In my oppinion its entirely possible because Floyd wants to prove that he belongs in this division and Gatti has never turned down a chance to trade shots. yeah whenever Mayweather is stupid enough just to stand infront of Gatti and trade punches. thats pretty much impossible

yea...i agree...it took De La Hoya quite a while to put Gatti away and De La Hoya has far more power at these divisions than I think that Floyd will ever posess gatti is alot better boxer now than he was against oscar I think he would last alot longer and oscar would have alittle more trouble putting him away.

i agree...no matter what else u say about em, you gotta admit they are both tough as nails. but Mayweather will lose.... I think Gatti will be down on the score cards then he will come and score a knockout... If Gatti beats Mayweather, he can definately be a hall of famer

At first i thought it was just gonna be a gay fight with 2 big names but with opposite styles but I think it will be history.... I think it has a chance of bein like leonard-hearns or ali-frazier etc.

There is no way this will be a war. Mayweather is just way too good for Gatti. Gatti's only hope is to smash the crap out of Floyds arms, legs, body, etc etc!!! And hope that Floyd slows down to the extent that he can land a bomb or two. i think so too. this will just be a one fight affair. both fighters are not tailor-made for each other

I cant remmber which one it was in but i remember Merchant talking about how he has much of same skill as Roy Jones but that he goes in and takes unnecessary risks and gets hit. Call me crazy but I think that Floyd Mayweather has way too much PRIDE to just box the hell out of Gatti. He doesnt want to prove that he can win, he wants to prove that he can punch and that he has real striking power at the new weight. No, I think that Floyd will trade with Gatti to prove to the world that this isnt as high as he can go.

mayweather's only chance at losing is warring with gatti. did anyone notice that floyd was a little mroe humble then usual on that friday night fights he was on?>

I higly doubt it but I would love to see it becuase it plays into gattis favor
