I am looking over his record. he is the only person to go 12 rounds with V.Klit. he only has 3 losses 1 against VK, a split decision against Henry Akinwande and a decision lost to Michael sprott who in his next fight he defeated. He holds victories over Ross puritty, corey sanders, quinn navarre and 29 others. He is trained by Buddy McGirt. He stands 6'7 1/2 and weighs 260 lbs. My question is could this guy ever be a threat in the HW Div. has anyone every seen him fight?
1 other thing he didn't beat Corrie Sanders, he beat Corey
Credit to him for going 12 rounds with VK, but VK was a different fighter then and this was probably the one and only time VK fought someone the same height.
True, and it was also VK's first fight after the Byrd fight, so I would imagine that he was more cautious with punches than he usually is.
SAYS ENOUGH ABOUT KRASNIQ THEN IF HE DREW WITH HOFFMAN?
personally i never understood why Sam didnt take apart Krasniq when they met.
Luan seems very average to me. Nice boxer but little power and very one paced.
yes pretty much right about Krasniqi, although in my opinion he did seem to win the fight by a couple of points (after sleeping through the first 3 rounds)....Krasniqi fights Whitaker on the 28th of this month and we'll see how he goes then.....He is not a bad fighter technically and has a highlighter amateur background, however the poor fellow seems to lack power. He outclassed Sinan Sam in their fight.
Hoffman seems to be content with fighting at the EURO level and doesn't seem to want to step up.....in contrast to Krasniqi and Sam.
he`s big with a pretty good jab and a pretty good chin, id say he pretty much like kali meehan in size and skills.
he could have been something, but dont have the skills.
other than going all rounds with vk ha hasnt done much.
Now to my question: does anyone know if he is related to alois hoffmann?

SPOT ON FROM MOOCHI, couldnt have put it better myself, good post bro. :boxing:
Yeah agree about Guinn, I tipped him to be a star but we dont get to see him over here too much, whats the problem ive been reading he is lethargic and lacking in workrate goes to sleep in fights and tends to rest on laurels.
shame he had the tools!
can anyone give me a bit more insute into his problems, is it training or mental or what? thanks
Thanks for the insight, this guy seems to be a pretty poor fighter with a good chin. Maybe one day we will get to see him on friday night fights against Guinn, who hopefully will get back on track and be the fighter we all know he can
He is a tall durable, unco-ordinated German fighter....in general he is quite technically sound but he has failed to impress in his last two fights..........He seems to lack the ability to adjust during fights...this was clearly visible in his last two fights against Bob Mirovic and Luan Krasniqi....both of these fighters were able to hit him with overhand rights at will.....although the germans like him and he was gifted two decisions against the last two with a win against Mirovic and a draw against Krasniqi.

Mate, this guy sucks. Big time. Bob Mirovic is a very, very ordinary fighter & if he didn't run out of gas, Hoffman was gone. As it was, Mirovic was robbed, anyway.
ok just wondering, I would like to see him fight, could beat a kevin McBride??? or even a Kali Meehan?
I'd pick Hoffman to beat McBride but that's only cos McBride's piss poor, not sure he'd beat any of the fringe guys though, I was really surprised when I saw McGirt in the corner of Hoffman, he's never impressed me at all so I'm not sure what McGirt sees in him.
Hoffman is quite similar to Kevin McBride actually, don't know if you've saw him but basically big & slow, takes a good dig and has a decent jab when he chooses to use it but lacks the all round skills to make a big impact, Hoffman's last fight was a joke, he clearly lost to Bob Mirovic but as the fight was in Germany Hoffman got the decision and the fight before that he had a very close fight with Luan Krasniqi so he's European level and that's about it I'd say.

he's durable, but he's not really a threat to the top heavyweights, he didn't win a single round against VK, and the limited michael sprott gave him problems, and bear in mind danny williams beat sprott easily twice
