Hey Rick. This is what I am thinking. I don't know how many people work for boxingscene but it seems like you have someone at all the major fights.
Do you think we could get something going where people from boxingscene. meet at the staples center, or in Las Vegas, or at MSG, to buy tickets together. We could have a boxingscene.com section, and we could make T-Shirts that would be good advertising for boxingscene. Then we could go out and get really drunk and start fights after.
I might be willing to be a coordinator and buy all the tickets and make T-Shirts and get a party bus thing going for fights in L.A. or San Francisco. If people would pay me a little extra money over the ticket price.
What do people think? Is this a good idea, or would it never work?
I wasn't really rooting for either fighter. I was just happy something came within driving distance of me. I guess I wanted Spinks to win, but I didn't feel bad when he didn't...
The only guy on the next card I really care if he wins or not is Ricardo Mayorga...I don't know if Golota/Brewster is a PPV or not; if not I wonder if Mayorga's bout will make TV with Fres Oquendo vs. Michael Moorer also on the card.
is there anyway to be alerted by ticketmaster or something when the tickets go onsale?
wow sorry I feel like I messedup the flow of the thread sorry
anyway if I lived in las vegas I would totaly be up for the whole boxing scene section adn t-shirts.
find out what venue is holding the fight. They ought to have an exact time tickets go on sale...
Fightnews.com is also pretty good about posting it when the information is brand new.
I bought my Judah/Spinks II tickets and the upcoming Brewster/Golota tickets as soon as they were on sale. I was on the phone like five minutes prior, so by the time I was done messing with the artificial intelligent female computer voice and was onto talk to an actual operator, it was exactly the top of the hour. That way my "not quite ringside" seats kind of are. At Spinks/Judah II I paid 250 for my seat. The guy sitting two feet in front of me had to pay 500...
C'mon, Rick Reeno ain't gonna read this shit, let alone resond and agree to you're idea.
... However, Boxingscene fans and enthusiasts can make this idea into a reality. It's not too hard. But I think it should be Boxingscene members only! I would love to be part of it, but I don't want to have to pay for shit. We need some sponsors to buy my tickets, seats, mechandise, etc... Plus, I'm gonna need a handsome salary as well
What I want to get going is something through the site so that there could be grous of boxingscene fans going to the fights together, no matter where the fight was. I'm sure a lot of boxingscene. fans will be at the Gatti-Mayweather bout.
And I don't know how it works but I'll bet ticketmaster has an alert thing like that.
When your looking for tickets at boxing matches, REMEMBER if you can't afford to sit close, try to sit close to the entrace tunnel. That way you can see you favorite boxer close up, even if you are far away from the fight.

only 2 tickets
buy your tickets early, and don't worry there are always cheap seats. The only fight I know of that didn't have seats less than 100 dollars was the Tyson Lewis fight.
yea I'm just nervous cause I already booked a hotel in atlantic city for the gatti mayweather fight and I hope I don't have to pay 300 dollars for each ticket.
how many tickets are planing on buying? it is worth it to spend a bit more money because nothing really matches being up close at boxing match

Don't forget us Midwesterners. I've dropped over 800 bucks on fight tickets the past couple months...
Honestly...you guys have nothing if you dont have Neils. Who will do the photo journalism if he's not there?

sound great, but i doubt it would work. if it do happen to work, someone take camera etc with them and put up some piturehere ;)
I wish I lived in Cali. I'm gettin real tired of the ATL. Props to Holy though for at least givin me the opportunity to see one championship fight in my home town.
I'm in California so generally Las Vegas and LA are probably as far as I go, but if James Toney beats Ruiz and gets a shot at Bryd or Vitali, then I will definitly be at the Garden.
....I would venture to the garden for Toney/Vit for sure!!!!
.....Do that at MSG and I'm interested!! Being an east coast guy and all.
