What are you favorite knockDOWNs (if the knockdown lead to a knockout, then so be it)...
just curious
I have always enjoyed Floyd Mayweather Jr/Ndou with the "pull counter" as he calls it and the 4 straight right hands
Lennox Lewis overhand right that put Grant down...Grant fell like bricks...I think it was the end of the first round...
Casamayor putting Corrales down in their first fight with the straight left...he hit Corrales as Corrales turned his body and Chico went stumbling all the the way across the ring and fell down
you can view the Casa/Chico one here: http://www.sho.com/site/boxing/video_archive.do
Jones vs. Johnson (both the right counter delayed knockdown as well as the blazing 1-2 knockdown...fastest 1-2 i ever witnessed in my 20+ years of existence.)
Jones vs. Gonzales (uppercut while he was coming in, Roy wasnt even touched with a single glove while Gonzales was inches away.)
Trinidad vs. Vargas (first 2 knockdowns were the most perfect left hooks I ever had ocular proof of, If the chin had a target they both were smack in the red zone.)
More to come.....
1st. The shot Maskaev landed on Rahman that sent him out the ring.
2nd. Kostya's perfect punch to Zab
3rd. Ray Leonard's ko over Davey Boy
4th. Hamed's ko over Augie Sanchez
5th. Trinidads second kd on Vargas
6th. Zamora's ko over Pedrosa
What was funny was that Mercer went from being considered a young 40-year-old, to being considered an ancient shell of a once-proud fighter, in a matter of minutes, in that fight
I know EXACTLY the knockdown you speak of... 0:37 seconds left in round 4...Briggs rallies...Lewis turns and smiles at Briggs...catches him with a left hook...then a casual, swift, calm, right-left-right...that knockdown is an example of just how calm Lewis is in the ring
That was a SWEET knockdown, but I liked the final KD more, it was a basic 1-2 to the head, but it took Briggs about 10 seconds to finally crash to the canvas, and by some miracle he GOT UP!
I remember watching Lewis and Briggs.
that part was cool where Briggs landed those hard punches on Lennox, then Lennox "shook his head" to clear out the cobwebs,
then came right back and landed those hard shots.
It looked cool, if you folks saw it. :)
Briggs had the "blonde" dreads in that fight.

Don't hate the player, Tarver came up huge against your boy, after getting KD'd against Johnson and Harding for that matter.... you should have more respect for the man that beat the man
Actually, I live in Tallahassee now. However, I will be the first to admit I will root against Tarver in every fight he fights from here on out. He didn't show any respect for the man and he also does not get that much credit in my book given the time at which he beat the man.
He is also a whiner. Seriously...the guy whines...a lot. He thinks he's hot shit afer KO'ing 35 yr old Roy Jones...then Glen Johnson went and did the same.
In any case, I don't hate the man. I hate no one. I'm just showing that Tarver is nothing special like Roy was in his prime. He's good, but prime for prime he has nothing for Roy.
Tarver getting his jaw broken and knocked down vs harding and, even more embarrassing...Tarver getting knocked down by Reggie "no power" Johnson.
hmmmmm a breeze of bitterness is heading north-east from the Pensacola region.....
