Ring Magazine and IBA featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao was today forced to take a blood test and an eye examination by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after they discovered that trainer Freddie Roach and the new management team headed by Shelly Finkel had failed to submit Pacquiao to the mandatory medical examination within the prescribed 30 day period before the fight.
When Pacquiao was informed early today that he had to undergo the tests he initially refused claiming that the drops put in his eyes blur his vision for about three days and it was too close to the showdown with Erik "El Terrible" Morales on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Another report claimed that his arm felt weak when blood was extracted. However, both promoter Bob Arum and international promoter Murad Muhammad said that the fight would not be sanctioned unless Pacquiao took the tests, forcing Pacquiao to go to the Nevada State Athletic Commission and get it done.. details]
hahahahaha
i cant believe how stupid can people possibly be. :D
if anything. this is a proof that Pacquiao is clean. he took the blood test just 3 days before the fight got tested after the fight and came out clean..
ambobobo nyo mga putanginanyo! :D :D
No, its more like a driver with an impeccable record who has been following all the driving rules put before him being asked to submit to a search and breathalyzer test. I'd be pissed too and I'd ask why I'm being singled out for this.
By the way,it is important to note the difference in being "not guilty" and "innocent"."Not guilty" only means no conclusive evidence whether you committed an offense or not. It does not specifically mean or presume innocence.
that is a wrong analogy. Mayweather aint the police! NSAC is, and AFAIK pac has no complaints on NSAC's drug testing routine.
For a fight of this magnitude and this level-there are bound to be unusual requests-Manny's request was for $10,000,000 for Floyd being a fraction of a pound over the agreed weight-that serves Manny exclusively.I believe a petty random blood test with a closing time of 2 weeks before the fight serves ALL people involved if everyone is clean-is this really as selfish as you are making it out to be and why is this an offensive request if both parties conformed to it???

You are too quick to assume one way or another-.
The point is simple-though not guilty,if the tests aren't strictly conducted or accepted by the party in suspicion, then it casts more doubts. It makes them appear unreliable, discredited and dishonest-even if they are innocent.Tell me how refusal improves the situation at hand??? It doesn't-especially when there is a 30-50 million dollar "carrot" hanging above your head for proving there will be fair play-they do fight for money don't they???
To use pride, superstitions, phobias, etc as some have suggested as a form of barrier is insulting-especially when the same person is portrayed as humble and without shame.I can see value in both sides, but honestly resisting to the demands just seems to have done more harm than good...is a lawsuit going to repair damaged pride or the perception of Manny's reputation ( as a warrior type figure) by the fans who are also duped into believing he is a man who is simple and humble...the case is,as I have said, tough to win at best and at worst, puts a damper on Manny as a fighter who will fight anyone, yet is scared of a request that benifits all involved.

Whatever-it is only an example. If you are emotionally bound to a certain fighter, maybe it's your problem.
I agree. It may not show 100% guilt, but it points that way. It's like the police pulling over a drunk driver and the driver refusing to take the breathalyzer test.It leaves too much doubt and suspicion in people's eyes...

According to Travis Tygart, the chief executive of Usada, the test requires less than a teaspoon of blood. Ellerbe also confirmed it was a teaspoon. There might have been an error but it's a teaspoon.
Well few teaspoons or w/e is just as equivalent to a vial imo. Below is some info. on how much blood is getting drawn in Olympic style testing.

Not taking a random blood test might as well prove your guilt. That's how the mainstream fans are viewing this right now. If you are a Pacquiao fan, why don't you want the truth? Aren't you curious to know whether you've been supporting an all-time great or a fraud? I'd want to know if it had been Corrales, my favorite fighter ever.

Whish one is it? A vile of blood or a tablespoon? This was NSAC who took the 2005 sample right? Does this suggest NSAC increased the volume from a tablespoon to a tube of blood?
Tablespoon(few tablespoons according to GBP) or not it does affect him psychologically.
Actually, it appeared to be a tube of blood drawn from Pacquiao before the Hatton fight.

A good example of Pac refused....he was forced tested and still came out clean.
Where does it state that he took a drug test and not a medical exam? Let me know.
