i've watched this fight
over and over again and i
hated on DLH for running like a lil bitch in the latter
rounds but i dont think he lost the fight.
what do you guys think??
Of course he was surprised, he never though he could win a decision over the :bottle: Golden Boy
who tought they could get a decition in Vegas Vs DLH
that was his town.
Oscar didnt box that great, Tito is just stupid and cant box someone just slug it out. oscar won the fight easly, and the reason he ran was cause he was tired, oscar always gets tired in fights (Mosley I&II,Vargas, Tito, Sturm, B-Hop). And of course Tito hits real hard so your to tired to box and he just stood there he would have died. You can even see Tito's face when the judges called it he looked suprised.
and yeah most people who think Tito won are Puerto Ricans. I just hope one day we can just see fighters being Latinos and not Mexican or Puerto Ricans
I am one of those 10 BIASED AS HELL Puertoricans that saw the fight with "ROUGE" warrior and his appreciation of what these biased boxing fans experienced is, "BIASED". The fight was between two undefeated champs and advertised as the fight of the millenium. Instead it ended as one of the most boring fights I've seen and not to Tito's fault. DLH was fighting like a defending champ and in my opinion the judges saw the fight even and gave the fight to the boxer that was putting the pressure throughout the fight. Let's stipulate that DLH won the fight, which as a biased Puertorican I don't, then why DLH avoided an immediate rematch. If DLH outboxed Tito so clearly then he could easily repeat his performance without the alleged last rounds mistake and remove that stain from his record. I remember that DLH was interviewed a few days after the fight and stated that if he had not run for the last rounds the result of the fight would have been different. Tito was asked to react to DLH comments and he answered that he agreed with DLH comments. That he would have knocked DLH. By the way 20 years from now a boxing fan is going to do some research to discover that two great fighters once existed and fought between them one time and who won?
I don't think Delahoya boxed great. I think he just did enough to win most rounds. He did dominate rounds 6-8 but they other rounds were close. As far as running his corner didn't tell him to do that. They told him to box which doesn't mean run away. Oscar gave that fight away when he should of just tried to close the show even at the risk of being stopped.
Even the Puerto Ricans had to admit
I'm a Chicano stationed in Baghdad Iraq with a unit from the 65th RSC (SAN JUAN PUERTO RICO). Last week I received my fight collection from back home and showed the DLH vs. Trinidad fight to over 10 BIASED AS HELL Puerto Ricans. It was funny as to see all these guys shut their mouths as Oscar CLEARLY won 8 of the first ten rounds...all they could say was "Oh..Oscar was just running circles and never stood in the middle of the ring to have a firefight!" What a silly and ridiculous argument...Oscar BOXED great and exposed the Trinidad camp as having no Plan B in case things started to go wrong. Oscar did run in the last 3 rounds, (mostly based on the advice of his comer) and lost some respect. Mainly I think he did it because he was winded and knew he couldn't afford to sit and trade with Tito. Tito's conditioning was greater, and could have made the difference. In the end only the MOST BIASED AND DIE HARD TITO NUTHUGGERS sill claimed victory. The rest gave DLH props for outboxing Tito over 10 rounds. How bout that one!!!
if their going to fight again golden boy wouldnt make the same decision i hope...
he wouldnt have to make the decition
his ass would get Ko'ed in the middle rounds.
I'm both a huge trinidad and DLH fan but I had DLH winning a close decision, I couldn't believe he ran like that the last 3 rounds but I still felt like he dominated the first 9 and he should have won the fight.
Trinidad is not like a god to us, he's just a great fighter that is very proud of being Puerto Rican. We are just proud of having such a great fighter that represent us. FYI not every Puerto Rican is a Tito fan.
ya i know what u mean to, i love trinidad, but i'm talkin about IWATCHBOXING, he's just makin shit up, u say it for real.

I hate to say it seen as im a Tito fan and wanted to see him K.O Delahoya in this fight, but i think Delahoya won a close decision. I remeber loosing a lot of respect for him after seeing his performance in the last 3 rounds though.
I had it a draw the last time I scored it. There is no way Delahoya won the first 8 or 9 rounds. In my opinion if Oscar didn't run in those last rounds he would of taken some big shots and maybe even got knockdown. In the 9th round Oscar started off good but Tito was starting to get to him and land with hard punches which made Oscar back up more and eventually start running. The only rounds Oscar dominated were rounds 6-8 in which he landed some very good combinations. The first 5 rounds were close. I think I had those rounds 3 to 2 in Oscar's favor with the first round being very close.
