Another shocking decision in Germany!

thats so true bad descions are happening everywhere. i dotn know why people r pointing out germany so much though the worst robberys happen in the USA Oh....no....you're NOT German. Um hmmm, sure you aren't.

There is no such thing as a shocking decision any more in boxing to me. Half the judges out there today are blind incompetent assholes appointed by their overpaid fatcat buddies at the comissions and sanctioning bodies

.Robin Reid getting penalized by the ref for landing clean head punches to Ottke...Danilo Haussler getting thoroughly beaten by Catley for 12 rounds and still get the decision. This one was so obvious: haussler's face looked like a hamburger when Catley has hardly a couple of bruises. haussler won 2 rounds maximum and gets the Win !!! Fuck me I watched both fights. My feelings on Ottke v reid I've already aired but the Catley one was just disgusting. if I remember rightly Catley seemed to go off the boil after that fight and just slid into obscurity. Lol :D

don't mention sven ottke please......just about every one of his 23 defenses was disputable and a bit weird.....with robin reid being a clear victim.... it is very unfortunate, and the worse thing is, that the german "world champs" choose unknown opponents ranked outside the top 10, and they still need to rig results.... have you guys ever seen the markus beyer vs danny green fight? here you had the champ pick an unknown aussie, and paid the aussie only about fifteen thousand euro to come over....and the aussie guy belted him from pillar to post...but of course, even this isn't enough sometimes. david starie outboxed sven ottke also....

It's a pity a champ like Tiozzo had to travel to Germany to defend his title against DM and he gave him such a beating :D it was the only thing to do to keep the title, no doubt ANY decision would have been for DM

Felx Sturm is a good kid, but he was lucky that he faced a lackadaisical overweight DLH...... Felix is back to his german self fighting in Germany and trying to win lesser titles..... I would like to see him face a craftsman like Sam Soliman.

Germany should be banned from staged boxing matches. i`m serious, there a law onto themselves, no wonder Roy Jones refused to fight there. I totally agree, but who could enforce it?? Boxing needs 1 ruling body.

So beating Garay fair and square the first time around doesn't count now.

even international judges are difficult because the promoters exert a lot of pressure on them....like in the markus beyer vs danny green fight when they practically forced the U.S ref to change his decision. Erdei is an average fighter.....and he was outboxed by a very determined Hugo Hernan Garay. He wouldn't match any of the top contenders. I just can't understand why and how this can go on for so long?....it shows that the Boxing Organizations are turning blind eyes as long as they are receiving their fees. I just watched the WBO Light Heavyweight Championship bout between Zsolt Erdei and Hugo Garay. Zsolt is based in Germany and he fought the same opponent last year to win a disputed majority decision. So these guys met once again last night and of course in Germany, and this time around Hugo Garay is even more impressive than the last fight, and yes again another shock decision to Zsolt Erdei. The only fair judge was the American who scored it 118 - 110, whereas the other two puppets had it at 116-112 and 115-113. Even the crowd after the bout jeered Zsolt!! This is just so sad, and how long can this go on? This young up and comer has came over to germany twice now, and done everything to prove he is the better, and only shocking decisions as such are handed out. What can be done to prevent this? You are partly right, I've heard that Garay won the rematch in most people's eyes, but he didn't win the first fight. So you're 1 for 2.

My other thoughts lean towards more impractical things like impaling the crooked judges on a couple of ring posts. :banana:

the place is a joke, there's no way Ottke or Michalczewski would have reigned for so long if they had fought outside of Germany. Calzaghe would have pissed all over Ottke if they had fought, same goes for Roy Jones fighting Michalczewski, its not suprising he refused to fight there. I've not seen this Erdei before, how would he do against the top boys at 175? their fighters are lesser, their judges are lesser, and their referees are lesser..it's a lesser circuit altogether however i can say the same about the US in some cases (DLH vs Sturm, that was bullshit)

What can be done to prevent this? an international board of judges rather than the hometown shit

STIX...i am not sure if you understood me.......it is hugo garay who has been the victim. I'm thinkin' he should fight somewhere else, where he'll be appreciated and not get screwed by the judges.
