I was on boxingtalk.com and i was reading an interview with winky wright. Pretty good interview cept for one thing winky said.....
timon184: All I want to know is how u going to handle Trinidad's AGGRESSION?
WINKY_WRIGHT: He may press me but I'm going to press him. We're going to see who gets hit the most. I don't get hit a lot but I think we're going to see if Trinidad likes getting hit a lot.
If he does come out this does he chance of winning go up or down?
I see Winky losing this one. He'll fight a good competetive two or three rounds before Tito gets to him. Tito's known to start slow but he heats up approaching the middle rounds. He also has a good record against south paws. I think Winky's bound to eat overhand rights just like what Whitaker got from Tito. Just my opinion :D
I'm not picking anyone to win this fight, but here's a question:
If Winky does win, how many of you will say that Tito is out of his prime, out of shape, or did not train like he usually does for this fight?
Exactly...there should be NO excuses for Tito in this fight...unless somebody shoots him in the leg at some point.

Really? Who did he struggle with that has a good jab other than Nard? DLH certainly doesn't have a great jab nor is he taller than Tito. Jabs are used (mostly) by taller fighters to keep the distance between them where their hight and reach is an advantage. DLH is smaller than Tito, so is Winky, and Winky has a shorter reach.
BTW, DLH isn't a "tough boxer," either. You want to see what Tito does to jabbers? Take a look at the Maurice Blocker fight. Or, you can also check out the Camacho and Sweet Pea fights to see how he handles lefties with good defense who move and have good jabs. Tito has faced people who do what Winky does, only better, and has beaten all of them except one, Nard. Please don't compare Winky to Nard, either.
Perfect!
I'm gonna go with Winky in this one. Winky's a tough, smart, south-paw with good skills. If he can make Tito back-up, he can win this fight because Tito sucessful when boxers either stand in front of him & trade, or they run like DLH. I doubt Winky is gonna do either one of those things.
Call me crazy but i think Winky is gonna beat Tito.
Crazy!
The only way for Winky to beat Tito (on the cards because Winky is too featherfisted to hurt Tito) is for him to bring it to him, land 3-4 punch combos and get out. Winky can't stand around too long and once he gets hit he will change his gameplan, just you watch.
Mike Tyson said it best: "everyone has a gameplan until they get hit," and Tito is a hard-hittin' mofo.
I think Winky will win too!
Sounds like most fans of Trinidad look at him as superman or something...
Well, he ain't, and he struggles with good, tough boxers with a nice jab.
Throw in a good, tough boxer with a nice jab who is a southpaw to boot, and Trinidad is in for a tough night.

What you describe Winky saying, is exactly what I think he needs to do to win decisivly against Tito. Let's wait and see who's right about this. I'm picking Winky to win by TKO in 10. I didn't bet on the KO, just the win, but I feel fairly confident. :D
Maybe he's just talking to try to throw Tito off.
If he does try to outbox Tito...one wrong move is going to make him have to fight for survival, especially with that chin of his.
