Tyson has been working out at former world champ turn trainer McGirt's gym for the last three weeks and, despite reports that the former champion is depressed and defeatist, wants to resume his in-ring career. "Mike is working out and is feeling good," McGirt told SecondsOut. "He's looking forward to fighting again, The world-renowned trainer, a two-time recipient of the SecondsOut Trainer of the Year Award is reluctant to talk in depth about his new charge but said Tyson was in decent shape. Williams is looking to get back a world ranking after his heavy defeat to WBC champ Vitali Klitschko in December; he would be very interested in a rematch with Tyson. Iron Mike was melted down in four rounds by Danny Williams last July and hasn't fought since. But McGirt said: "Mike hasn't spoken to me about Williams or whoever. He's just training hard right now but he's not too far off boxing again. We're working on things and he could be ready to fight again in two months if he wants to." Ah, but does he want to? People has been talking about Tysons "last chance to make it" for the last 7-8 years now... There are no more chances left for the poor guy. He is all finished. If he get back in the ring, I fear he will hurt himself more than he could hurt his opponent. Hang em up, Tyson!

I think they are just tired of hearing how mike is gonna destroy ppl when he just doesnt have it anymore. Its kinda pathetic that we even write threads on him any more. He should be filed with the likes of Michael Spinks, Larry Holmes, Tommy Morrison, etc.. and have a thread about him once in a while. But because of causual nuthuggers and haters we have to hear about this washed up milk dud!

Williams Tyson II seems the most logical step to getting some respect back for Tyson, but a win over anyone would be nice. Tyson has not displayed any of the tools necessary to deal with Vitali so I wouldn't really expect him to take on any mega fights and he at least has a chance to fulfill his part of the bankruptcy bargain.

Wait a minute, isn't it 'gullible'. Anyways, I think it's a little late to be pondering whether or not he is a 'sad story' considering his meteoric fall from grace. Apparently his previous accomplishements afford him as many chances as he desires. Oh well, I'll still be watching if he makes it back to the ring.

Mike is done, his legs are shot, his liver is a raisin, his chin is china, his confidence is destroyed, his fists are slow, his tattoo is ugly, and his kid is going to end up in prison....what's the Tupac song" Oh yeah "jus' like Daddy" What are you talking about my friend, his chin is still good it's his heart, wich is letting him down, he's still faster than almost all the other heavy's and he still got power, like a said he's got the physical tools except the stamina. but it's his mind that's fucked up. With this division with the right state of mind i know my daddy can pull it off.

its touche, (sorry). ;) erm i cant rejoice in his pain and suffering im afraid but i wish he would give up the gloves and put his knowledge and charisma to better use , maybe as a trainer or commentator. as a force as a fighter he has been long gone.

That's great news if it's true. I think this is mike's last chance he has to take it, he has got the physical tools to do it, he just has to do it mentally, stay focused stay in the gym and just do what is nessecery to comeback succesfully. This is his last chance he better not screw it up, or else tyson will end up as another sad story, from boxing.
