Light Welterweight Arturo Gatti v Jesse James Leija
(WBC Light Welterweight Title)
Light Middleweight Kassim Ouma v Kofi Jantuah
(IBF Light Middleweight Title)
Featherweight In-Jin Chi v Tommy Browne
(WBC Featherweight Title)
Featherweight Scott Harrison v Victor Polo
(WBO Featherweight Title)
My predictions:
Arturo Gatti v Jesse James Leija - Gatti Ko 8
Kassim Ouma v Kofi Jantuah - Jantuah ko 6
In-Jin Chi v Tommy Browne - Chi ko 5
Scott Harrison v Victor Polo - Harrison ko 6
Yeah, that is strange. Where in the world would you come up with an insane thought like that?
Well...given that Leija has such a history and reputation for avoiding cuts...
I think Gatti will have to take out Leija sooner than later...if it goes the distance I'd favor JJL. For some reason I think Gatti will win on cuts.
I don't know enough about Jantuahs chin or stamina. I know he hits hard as all hell...so I'd give him a punchers chance. I think Ouma's workrate will take the fight out of Kofi and Kassim will win by late TKO.
I believe Chi will win strictly based on the fact that I don't know anything about Browne.
Harrison will win by way of KO in the middle rounds.
Leija has the ringsmarts and has been in with bigger and better fighters than Gatti,so I see him winning this one by close decision. This is gonna be alot like Tarver in the crowd watching Glen Johnson upset Roy Jones Jr.Instead it's gonna be Mayweather looking on watching the grizzly vet Leija outhustle Gatti. Leija vs Mayweather Summer 05!
I think Jantuah is the most dangerous opponent Oumas been in with. Once Jantuah gets Oumas respect early,Ouma will be on his bike but eventually get caught by a Jantuahs left-hook.Kofi Jantuah by KO 5 over Ouma.
Leija by decision maybe split decision over Gatti.
I'm kind of split between Ouma and Jantuah. On one hand I can see Ouma outworking Jantuah for the decision but on the other hand Jantuah has the bigger power. I know Ouma has been stopped on the three knockdown rule before but I don't know how good Jantuah's chin is. I'll say Ouma by decision.

Harrison KO10
I have no clue with the Ouma/Jantuah fight..you gotta lean towards Ouma but it is just a lean...Ouma may be the better fighter but his fighting style appears to be perfect for Jantuah...If I could only watch one fight this weekend it would be this one.
As for Gatti and Jesse James...I like Leija in this fight, enough to pick him though? No, I think this is a classic fight that Gatti squeaks out via close split decision...the fight could go either way and thunder will get the nod. This may be the end of the road for Gatti too because I can't see him beatting Zoo, Mitchel, Cotto, HAtton, Harris, or Floyd. One of these guys has to be his next opponent.
Damn I wish we could see Chi on tv more...when he fought Morales he earned a fan for life with me...chi chi chi!
My predictions:
Arturo Gatti v Jesse James Leija - Gatti Ko 8
Kassim Ouma v Kofi Jantuah - Jantuah ko 6
In-Jin Chi v Tommy Browne - Chi ko 5
Scott Harrison v Victor Polo - Harrison ko 6
Good calls i think Jantuah will maybe get to Ouma a bit later though about 8 or 9, but all the rest i'd pretty much agree with
I'm going with Gatti. But, if Leija can survive & get in the same body shots he landed on Bojado, I can see him beating Gatti.
Ouma over Jantuah. Kofi definitely has a puncher's chance, but I think Ouma is just too good for him. Ouma will take Jantuah's shots, & grind Jantuah down.
Ouma TKO 8.
I'll assume that Chi & Harrison will emerge victorious.
I don't know of Chi's opponent, & I know that V. Polo is worn out.
Jantuah over Ouma.
Im split on gatti and leija. Either Gatti is going to obliterate him in the first 6 or 7 rounds or Leija will win a decision.
Hmm, I don't know. I think Gatti wins a close decision.
As for Ouma - Jantuah, I think Ouma takes it, probably by late KO. We'll see, but this should be the better of the two fights.
