Tua is coming back

i'll always love tua for what he did to john ruiz :D I don't appreciate you ripping my animated gif and using it for your sig without asking me.

David Tua is the biggest waste of talent in the past 20 years in the heavyweight division. He had all of the tools to become champ, but he ate his way out of contention. David Tua makes Riddick Bowe look like Richard Simmons. thats probably why he's really strong, though. he was probably fat before he sculpted his body you can't have big strength without a big appetite.

People always talk about the "will to fight", I think its more about the "will to train" once Tyson or anyone gets into the ring and gets hit in the face a couple times "the will to fight" comes out pretty strong. That's a good point. Without the will to train the will to fight is not there. And if you get in the ring because of money or anything else without haveing the desire to train and in essence win you will lose. Tyson it seems has lost all will.

u know whats funny...we say thank god for tua ko'ing ruiz back then..but...if u think of it...tua is to blame for ruiz...ruiz started this hugging style after the tua fight...he was never the same and that was not good for us, cuz know we have to see ruiz as champ...so tua is to blame for this...so i say he has to get rid of it now and return to ko ruiz again

Can't wait to see what he brings. Maybe Ruiz should just handover his belts.

lets make him a champ.. give him a rematch against ruiz :eek: ruiz will literally die. i think vitali has the better chin tho... never knocked down and took punches from lewis and sanders. tua (don't kno if hes been KD), but he was against rahman in the second fight,( i kno it was after the bell). still it'll be good to see him back

Tua was lethargic at around 235 and up,blowing up to 300lb's is gonna have a long term effect on him.He's done.

It also says that he weight 135kg, which is just under 300 pounds, and less than the 330 it says he weighed before. So the question is, is this Mike Tyson wannabe who blew through the 15-20 Million he made in his career and has to fight, going to be anything more than a punching bag for a top 10 fighter? I have no doubt that his next 4-5 fights coming back will be KOs, but can this "never was" be a "can be"? At least he can be xciting! When I watch Ruiz piling up boring performances I crave for a rematch with the Tua man :D

If Tua still has the power and the chin he had years ago, he could do some DAMAGE in the hw division! those samoans got hard ass chins, although i personally don't think Tuaman was ever quite he same after he went 12 with Ike Ibeabuchi, but that one punch power gives him a chance against any hw in the division now, if he can get down to his "prime" fighting weight of like, 260 lbs. i'd like to see him fight Ruiz agian for the WBA belt, but Ruiz wants no part of david Tua. he's probably still wondering how that truck got into the ring and ran him over last time

Tua would squash Tyson like a bug. Tyson gets hit way too much these days. Now, if he could get back even a fraction of the head movement and agility that he once had...

I would pick Tua over Tyson ( prviding he is at a simular level as he was before his ring absence ). Reason? Because he`s got a better chin, he`s younger and has less ring ware. Also, Tyson hasn`t done anything since 1991 to suggest he can beat Tua. His biggest win since Razor Ruddock was over Frans Botha in 1999 and he lost every round until he Ko`ed Botha.

I would love to see a fight between tua and tyson. That would be an interesting match. If it didnt end in 4 rounds could you imagine how much each man would be suffering from exhaustion???? One would die that night in the ring, neither are fit for a 10-12 round fight but I think Tua would be the one to take Tyson out..... Tua is samoan, his genes keeps him fat he needs no mcdonalds.

Yeah, too bad about Tua's conditioning. If he were close to what he was for Ike, I would favor him against everyone except for Vitali, and even then, his left hook would give him a shot.

tuas got a very solid chin, and his power is explosive. if he gets some sort of fitness i could see him getting a belt. i dont think anyone would ko him, except maybe vitali, but if lewis couldnt do it..........

I'm not so sure Tua is done. Frankly, I can't say anyone is done at the heavyweight level. I'm reminded of former middleweight champion James "Lights Out" Toney, once considered a dead club fighter, being resurrected by his fights with Jirov and Holyfield. David Tua, Mike Tyson, and Kirk Johnson are always 1 punch away from redemption. I would like to see Tua in there with a Davarryl Williamson, Lance Whitaker, or a Danny Williams in his first fight. I'm not going to come up with any conclusion until I see him fight again. But I do think his motivation is financial, not just fistic.
