Lewis: I know I can beat Klitschko!
Lennox says fight "stirred something inside me."
Current heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko may get his wish for a rematch with former champ Lennox Lewis after all. Like many former world champions who have been lured out of retirement by dreams of further ring glory, Lewis' resolve to stay out of the ring may have finally cracked. Lennox told reporters, "These kinds of fights do tempt me to think about coming back because when I see the weaknesses Vitali has, I know I can beat him. I felt like jumping in the ring and saying 'Danny, sit down mate, let me sort this out for you. Let me show you how it's done'. I'm nine months away from being fighting fit and watching the fight unfold last night stirred something inside me. It showed Klitschko's vulnerability."
Havent seen this posted and figured id post it, Sounds like good and bad news but Lennox is making the same mistake all retired champions have in the past and that is to come back, Although it isnt certain he will it is a hint of a possibility.
look at vitali's face
imagine if the fight went 12 rounds
he'd look like freddy krueger
lets not forget that the worse cut was done by a punch that missed and just glazed VK's face. a freak thing thing that doesnt happen often.
I dont know if you watch UFC, but vitor belfort got a fluke win over randy coutore the same way. a missed punch cut randy's eye with the side of the glove.
Lol, funny that he never came back when he called Vitali into a meeting that was supposed to be just mano a mano and Lennox's mom was present during the meeting. Vitali got a call the next day and Lewis told him he didn't want a rematch. That's the truth, from Vitali's mouth. Mother Lewis saw in Vitali's eyes that he was going to knock Lennox out in a rematch and persuaded him to stay on the shelf.
Now then ...............call me a liar.
You're a liar
Is Lewis too old now though?
LOL
Of course he is! I miss watching lewis more than anyone but I wouldnt want him to risk tainting his legacy by coming back 6 years after being out! He said it 5 years ago no need to drag it up
lewis has nothing to prove as he already beat him well and truly..........if the fight went on klitschko would have either been knocked out, or bled to death.
Ill pray for LL to come back so VK finaly can shut knock that bigmouth out.
I pray for him to return and kick Vitali's ass again so that the fan's will shut their mouth
awww have the boxingscene boys got ya slaving away again. :D
No, I'm still trying to replace some of the big title fights that were never returned to me...that fight was one of them. Thanks HBO! :)
I just watched it again the other night while taping it yet AGAIN and they did seem a bit rough with the cut. I thought "damn, if getting hit like that didnt hurt, them pulling on the thing like that surely does"!!

After the round in which the cut was originally open, Vitali's corner passed the towel over his face rather hard further opening it. If someone has the fight you'll know what I'm talking about. One could say that Lewis' punch would have further opened the cut, because that's what he would have been aiming for once he saw the blood, but what kind of corner does that shit when they see a cut..

I am not making excuses for VK, all I am saying is that there is with out a doubt unfinished business with the two, if there wasn't Lewis wouldn't be saying that he can beat him. A cut stops the fight, thank you for clarifying that for me...I think if they fight again the cut issue will be a big factor again, although I have watched the lazy right hand LL landed or sort of landed and it was definately helped out by the duck tape.
Do it again thats all I am saying, there is unfinished business thats all I am saying...Oh you mention that if I don't like the rules to breing it up with the top guys...do you know someone who I can contact about that, I will see what I can do about getting some of the rules changed, if you have a name, number or even email of some of the top guys it would be much appreciated.
Did I say LL only won because of the cuts as you suggest...well lets reflect a little bit shall we...heres what I said "He was supposedly fighting as good as he ever had going into the VK fight and after the fight got stopped on cuts the HW champ of the world was down on all three cards." This was reality, the fight got stopped on cuts right? VK was up on all three cards right? Do I mention in there that the only reason LL won was because of cuts? No, so be nicer to me or I will cry.
The fight was on the table, VK did not have an advantage (except on the cards, which you probably dispute) and LL had no advantage (except for VK eye which you relish)...both were done, did you see your boy hit the stool at the end of the sixth, his big ass barely caught the corner, had he fallen LL may have not gotten up...he's not very good ya know at continuing once he has been down. To be fair VK was thru as well-I can't see either fighter finishing that fight on their feet...It was certainly headed for a double knockout.
Remember if you could get me those contact numbers I want to change this sport so big huge nasty cuts never rear their ugly head in this sport ever again.
dont cry..i atke it back lol..
i dont dispute klit was ahead and the cut was depressing as
well as nasty..the fight had to be stopped.rules are ok on
that.i dont dispute that.
lewis came in fat because hed trained for kirk "the joke"
johnson and he likely underestimated klits will to win.
klit was hammering lewis but he was taking monster shots too.
and lewis withstood them after looking shaky in rd 1.
they were both knackered but klit was worse for wear.
to me theres no unfinished business because they had no
business fighting anyway.lewis had lost the will after
dominating mike tyson.
same as i dont need to see roy jones rematch johnson.
count your losses and get out the game.
morales had the same problem against barrera.
maybe could get it back..maybe not.
This goes out to the person who said how Lennox Lewis was losing on all the score cards on the first page. I believe the fight was stopped in the sixth round, that's too early in the fight for one to make an argument..
The fight was not stopped in the sixth, rather the round was completed therefore at the halfway point in the fight VK was leading on all cards...this is all factual.
If this post was directed at me I was obviously not making an argument for either guy...the fight for the millionth time was on the table, anyone who says differently for either guy probably says so because they want one guy or the other to win. Again Lewis won on a cut stoppage and VK was leading on all cards...thats all.

ejk22-Universum demands Vitali to train with sdunek so maybe something along those lines?
SCAP-You like other people tend to forget that each fighter had 11 days to prepare for each other, that is hardly enough to master a fighters style, Lennox was training to fight a smaller guy and planned to lean in on him and use his weight as an advantage which im sure is why he came in so heavy.
These two guys didnt box they brawled and that was because they were not prepared for each other completely, had each fighter had more time I think Lennox would have boxed his ears off.
I agree....I just cant see Vitali beating Lennox is he comes in at the right weight and takes Vitali seriously..not at all!
