LL was by far the toughest, VK's face should show that. VK showed alot of heart in that fight but it was only a matter of time, and VK had lost the 5th and 6th round after winning the 1st 4, it was only going to get worst, LL was just going to continue beating his face in until he fell. LL would never give up no matter how tired he was, He is always able to go 12rounds, his conditioning should never be questioned.
I think Corrie Sanders was probably the biggest test, because he definitely clocked Vitali pretty good w/ some of those shots. Lennox Lewis was one tough fight, but I think Lennox would have went down the next round barring the cut, he barely got up from his stool to to interviews.
that cut was from Lewis' glove (not the end, but the tape / string area)
but one way of looking at this question is...
Lewis was the toughest because of what it may have done to VK's mentality, being that it was a loss for VK ..
:)
the point of the Sanders fight is that Lewis was using him as an extension of himself.
Of course Sanders was tired, so would Lewis be if he fought the way he told Sanders to fight. They figured that VK was just like WK, who would easily crumble from a huge powershot, which, contrary to some opinions, Sanders definitely had (even with the hostess cakes).
If Lewis was right back then, the fight would have been over when Sanders dazed him from that same huge powershot we are talking about. Since that theory was debunked, we now know that Sanders wasn't effective to beat VK, no matter what strategy he used.
You wanna talk skill? Lennox was the far most-skilled opponent Vitali has ever faced in the ring. Toughest? I would say Corrie Sanders. I don't see Lennox taking all of those shots and still standing.
I don't care about the weight - Neuraxis uploaded the Sanders/Rahman fight and the guy looks to be much fitter than in the Klitschko fights.
Anyone got any pics to validate this?
Did you see the thread where I said if VK can legitimately KO Rahman I'll give you and Nautilus both a million points?
I want to see VK be the guy everyone has already made him.
That Sanders fight was 2000. From then to 2004 (and really the year before when he fought Wlad), Sanders spent most of his time on the golf course and eating boxes of Hostess snack cakes, it appears.
Except for the fact that he weighed 225 lbs against Wlad and Rahman. He has always had weak spot for Hostess snack cakes. And between Rahman and Wlad he TKO'd Sprott in 1 and Tisdale in 2. And no I didn't see that but I'm going to hold you to it now.

.....Sanders weighed the exact same for his fights with Wlad and Rahman.
Its a shame really that a straight-up bum dominated your beloved Rahman basically their whole fight until a combination of Rahman landing a good punch and Sanders fatigue ended the fight. What does that say about Rahman then?
....Rahman is a one punch wonder that sucks IMO. He got lucky one time over Lennox and that's it. Lennox crushed him in the rematch, Holly beat the crap out of him while in his decline. Maskaev nearly killed him when he knocked him out so hard he went right through the announces table outside the ring, lost to the lowly and disgraceful Ruiz, Got whipped once by Tua and got a draw the second time, and got lucky against Sanders who also nearly decapitated him. Rahman's claim to fame is a one punch knockout of Lewis. Vitali would dispose of him within 3 or 4 rounds.
