This is the only worth-reading part of the Interview. But when you submit your post please tell everyone if you're a Roy-Hater or a Roy-Nut-Fondler..
GL: Roy, you're sleeping on a bed of money right now. You've really got nothing left to prove, why even entertain the notion of coming back to fight?
RJ: "You're absolutely right, I don't have nothing to prove and I've accomplished what I've wanted to accomplish, but man you know when you do something for so long, and it's come so easy to you that you lose interest, you need to take a break."
GL: Tarver-Johnson, what do you think about that fight?
RJ: "I don't care!"
GL: Who do you think will win the fight?
RJ: "I don't care!"
GL: What if the winner of that fight wanted to make it happen?
RJ: (laughs) "Now I'm getting hype G, I'm gonna tell ya, if the winner of that fights mentions fighting me, I'm coming back E-meddiately. Did you hear that right? IMMEDIATELY!"
I think Roy could still be champ. Much like Ali had his before and his after the whole Vietnam boxing ban. He had two different fighting sytles. The first style was to dance and be hard to hit, the second was obsorbe punishment until his opponent tired some.
Roy was use to using his speed/feet to avoid getting hit, he's gotta change his style and learn how to block. The blow that came from Johnson, he turned his head away from the punch rather than block. As a result he got lumped on the side of the head. So, if Roy changes his style and relys less on his feet, I think he could regain and hold the light-heavy title for another couple years.
roy's time is up... if that's not obvious after his last 3 fights, then you're just fooling yourself, just like jones is... he's going to be the next holyfield, if he keeps this up... i wonder if he feels that holy should retire?
ive heard roy didnt train for johnson but its probably an excuse.im glad to see roy has hung up the gloves and has done the right thing instead of hanging on like vander and bowe.roy has said he will fight the winner of the tarver/johnson fight if they mention his name, which i think is a good idea if he is indeed still as good as he says he is. if roy could muster a comeback like that and defeat the winner it would be the perfect ending for a great fighter
yeah i agree. that'd be a huge a fight and it'd be sweeeet. i wonder if he should beat both of them though? fight the winner of the tarver-johnson fight then fight the loser.

Roy should keep quiet he got beaten by both.
maybe im in the minority, but i think if roy comes back to face either of these lower-tier fighters, he will win.
Judging by this post, I think Jack is already punchy.
Say.....................what ?
Will he be good at what he's trying to do. That's basically the question..
Speaking of Holyfield, I also read on that site that he's going to be commentating an upcoming fight, I wonder if his slurred speech will permit him to effectively or will he talk about a punch 5 minutes are the fact..
