No doubt it wont be an easy fight for Erik, Pac has lots of heart. But Morales has more advantages in this fight than Pacquiao, Morales is a natural 130 lber he's been there long enough, his conditioning is top notch and allows him to keep a fast pace the whole fight (70-80 punches per round). His power is really good.. not just above average and while sure he might not have ko'ed anyone in his last 2 fights, he's still managed to dropped them, and exploit every opening they leave themselves open to. His schooling and experience is also better than pacquiao's and any opponent he has ever faced. And of course he has never tasted the canvas. And pacquiao is a special type of pressure fighter, he doesnt swarm you like some of the fighters Erik hasnt been able to stop, instead he leaves the distance there where Erik would get full leverage on his punches.
Morales is the bigger fighter I don't think size would play much of a factor in this fight though. Manny has always done excellent when coming up in weight. Coming up from flyweight on his very first match at super bantam, he wins a title. Coming from super bantam into his second fight at featherweight he got the ring belt. I don't think 4 pounds would make too much of a difference. He came in at 135 against JMM. He's also hurting lightweight sparring partners, so his power would carry over.
Pacquiao is all about swarming. He swarmed Barrera with punches. It was just too many to take and that's why he fell. JMM was getting swarmed with left straights till Marquez, to his credit, boxed his way out of it. But he is the very definition of relentless. I never liked Morales when he is getting backed up and that's why I think Manny can win. He can't out box Erik so he's gonna have to try to roll over him. If he waits for Erik he looses. Long night.
Both can win. If Morales can keep the distance, much better for him and i think he can pick Pac apart. But Manny ain't one to stand still and get hit. He'll punch you back and he'll punch fast and hard. Speedwise he has an advantage over Morales, and he would be able to see those punches. I think Manny's gonnaa get caught with an uppercut coming in, but Morales' stance is just asking for a left straight and I do think Manny will land first. 50/50 But everyone who isn't giving Pacquiao a chance and think that Erik Morales will cruise through an easy victory don't know what the heck they're talking about. I cant remember the last time he KOed a pressure fighter but if he couldn't finish off Ayala, Barrera or Chi, he ain't stopping Pacquiao.

well, to all those questioning whether pac will get past jmm: pac destroys him in the rematch. re: the morales/pac fight, i think its a toss up. moreales skill v. pacs power and explosiveness. i think on a given day each guy can come out with a victory
This fight could go either way (50-50). Though most people would think that Morales would easily beat Pac, they could be wrong. Pac would surely give Morales something that he'd never experienced before.
For sure, this would be an exciting, action-packed war.
Hahaha! I can't wait to see this fight. El Terrible will gobble pacman up :)
Morales will stick that jab in his face all night and counterpunch him just like JMM did. He will completely dominate Pacman and show him up as the one dimensional fighter he is.
Hahahahahaha!! (evily)
A pigment of one's imagination. Maybe.. That's all i can say but let's see it until fight time.

Morales outboxes Manny when he wants to box and outslugs Manny when he wants to brawl. Morales stops Manny inside of 10.
Yeah if he can handle Manny's speed and power!! :D Manny's the total machine. Fearless and unstoppable. NO FEAR!! Viva Pacquiao..
For Pacman, JMM and MAB would be easier to handle because of the weight. Fighting Erik Morales at 130 is a big gamble for Pacman. Erik is naturally the bigger fighter and would have the advantage because he is used to fighting in this weight. I am not belittling Pacman's ability but he may be pushing his luck too much.
I disagree on this merely because Pacquiao is powerful than Morales and he can still bring the power when he goes up. I think Pacman is finding difficulty in fighting JMM than MAB or Morales coz MAB and Morales likes to brawl. JMM is diffrent coz he is a counter puncher. U will observe that in Rnd 1 of JMM vs. Pacman. Pacquiao is finding it hard to connect to JMM. Fortunately, he uses his style of outwitting JMM by making an action of punching and releasing it only when JMM's anticipation is not present. That's the 1st KD of JMM on round 1.
I hope Pacquaio under-estimates and laughs at Morales' power just like you vpdj. Then it will be an early night for Erik who will turn out the lights on PAC.
Erik's power is actually quite good and if you had actually seen MAB vs EM then you'd know that KD wasnt legit. EM visibly seriously hurt MAB repeatedly (just like MAB did him) in that fight and you should know that if anyone's power made MAB change his style of fighting it was Erik's.
I didn't say Morales power is not good. All I'm pointing out is that his power is not that powerful as Manny's fist. You can observed Pacquiao's power when he fought MAB. You would observe when Pacman hits MAB he just keeps on backing and you can see that he was hurt. After the fight when MAB was interviewed, he said Manny P. really hits hard. See? I have confidence that if Morales will be hit by a clear shot by Pacquiao then he will feel what MAB just said. If Morales has powerful hands, why he can't KD MAB on their bout.. It's just that Pacman is powerful than he is.Pacman is not underestimating this guy but he is very eager to fight Morales. The only way to determine who will win is what good is their boxing plan. I'm sure Manny has that coz he got ace trainer Freddie Roach on his side.

style wise JMM is a harder fight for PAC than EM will be...
JMM will not change his style, he made the first fight as close as possible, if he could avoid getting KD or Koed, probability is he will win by decision...
if EM elects to brawl, which EM most probably will, then this will be an easier fight for PAC 60-40 PAC wins, but if EM elects to box this will be very difficult for Pac and I see it as 60-40 EM wins....
those are my logical & unbiased opinion....
but as an avid Pac Fan, my heart tells me that JMM & EM dont stand a chance and PAC will KO everyone....
Your right there bro. JMM is a harder fighter for Pac than Morales. JMM is a technician but has a little power. Pacman is an intruder also. So if remtach comes JMM will just wait for Pac and try to move and box but Pacquiao's speed, movements and power will play a big factor here. JMM will be KOed. Morales your next. I want Pacman and Morales. It will be exciting.

I've seen how Morales fight. I can say he is good but I have full trust on Manny that he can beat this guys. Pacquiao is getting better everyday. I want this fight and I know Pacman will prevail. That's what Pacquiao like a fighter like Morales.
I'll give Morales 40% and 60% Pacman. The only way he could beat Pacquiao is by using his head and try to move like Hopkins and Trinidad. If he goes toe to toe with Pacman I think he will kiss the canvass.
I think he'll try to avoid brawling with Pac, he'll most probably box him from the outside taking advantage of his size and longer reach, throw the jab and set him up for his killer right hand. Otherwise, a phonebooth kind of a fight will prove to be disastrous vs. a relentless brawler like the PacMan.
