Great Fighters in Shitty Divisions.......

I can't people on here are saying Jeff Lacy, Calzaghe has been the dominant force in the Super Middleweight divison for years. Lacy ain't done jack yet.

how can anyone say jeff lacy? who the hell has he beaten? would he beat danny green, carl froch, joe calzaghe, robin reed or markus beyer? All he has done is beat one name- syd vander...something. He needs to achieve a number one rating before anyone can say that about him!!!!!! Totally agree. He'd get his ass kicked by a few people on Calzaghe's record.

I think Ricardo Lopez could have been a serious contender for greatest of all time if he had not fought in such a non-publicised division (I won't say shit because there are good fighters in all divisions). Of the current boxers, I like Ivan Calderon who fights at mini-flyweight.

Jeff Lacy. and even though the Heavyweight division is shity there is not 1 great fighter in it.

supermiddle isnt that bad for lacy. still got calzahge and anthony hanshaw.lacy should move up though maybe fight the winner of tarver/johnson.

jeff lacy, Raf Marquez are two that i think of most, JoCalz sucks ass fighting has beens and really never were's, how come he hasn't tangled w/ say robert allen, or antwon echols they are both fightin super now aren't they No. Pretty much everything you say here is incorrect. Robert Allen is not as tough as almost anyone among Joe's competition. And I'm neither a nuthugger nor British, so don't even bother saying it. Jeff Lacy's division today is not that bad. And Robert Allen is not a super middle. He may have plans to move up, but he's still not a super middleweight. Rafael Marquez' division isn't that bad. The problem is there aren't any stars there right now. Mebbe if a super flyweight moves up there'll be one, but there's none at the moment.

Calzaghe in the last few years has had shitty fights in the super middleweight div. But i guess thats a mixture of FW and the lack of quality fighters.

Ricardo Lopez may have been over-rated (or under-rated for that matter) due to this fact. Thank You.... Just don't know what to do with him, in terms of historical perspective. I believe if he had great comp., he'd have won all the time....but not do so, so effortlessly.
