Kimmy, your post is very intetresting.
The problem guys like ali, tyson and holyfield have is their warrior instinct slash ego.
They will never deny a challenge, no matter what.
In fact i belive they'd rather die in the ring or suffer whatever consequences, as long as they are seen to be taking the challenge.
I hope Roy doesn't suffer the same fate.
Ali was getting sick in 1975 (maybe earlier), but he kept going.
Holyfields interview in the ring after the toney defeat had an eery resemblance to ali's post fight interview after the berbick fight (was not audible)
Tyson - Lewis beat him up very badly, and there are effects there.
Believe it or not, i reckon Tyson is a little smarter thank ali and evander - he declined a lewis rematch.
Holyfield would be prepared to fight Vitali today, and ali would fight again if there was a cure for parkinsons.
The commissions must take control!
The bowe situation is also bad!
True, Holyfield`s speach is impaired. I wonder how he passes medicals
ANSWER: Don King ( Ali Vs Holmes 2nd October 1980, Quote "Don said i had to pay $50 grand mannnnnnnn, $50 grand for doc to clear me of Parkinson`s before the fight")
Don King was sued and later Ali recieved a £50 thousand settlement from King for avoiding medical Tribunal!
Jebadyer, Ali`s friend and Don`s lackie paid Ali the money in a breifcase whislt Ali was bedridden the week after the biggest pay per view in history, 'The fourth coming`, Ali Vs Holmes.
Whats a warrior do ,once there is no more wars to fight.Go out fighting I say.
he is not a warrior anymore, he is a battle ravaged man in danger of risking his health more than other boxers due to the fact that he is old, has too many wars under his belt and can barely speak.
If i was Evander i must say i would think that i could get a title again with some of the fools around in the Heavyweight division at the moment. I personally think he should retire but i can understand the way he'll be thinking.
Happy Birthday Evander
