I maintained that Mitchell wins this one easily for a long time. My argument was that Tszyu has been inactive so long and Mitchell has fought good pros in the meantime. Then Trinidad came back; I had Mayorga for the same reason. So I guess Tszyu could look like he hasn't missed a beat. We'll just have to see a few weeks from now. Looks like Johnny Tapia on the televised undercard; no opponent named yet. i dont understand how you can rate someone thats been active ove r someone who has been active in the case of mayorga/trinidad. mayorga looked bad in his last 2 fights, and not only that, he had to move up a little to fight trinidad and had never fought at 160. Im wondering how you could have possibly picked mayorga based on that desicion that tito had been "inactive".

My point was that what Kostya did to an old JC Superstar has no bearing on what happens November sixth.

I think Tszyu is just going to give away too many early rounds. He will come on late but it would be too late. Mitchell by close decision.

mitchell has over 50 fights, but has beaten one top jr welterweight or even a decent one for that matter.....

The big question is inactivity. KT has been out for 2 years and Mitchell has been very active compared to most active fighters. Pros for Mitchell: No stranger to the ring, I think he has had 6 fights in the last 2 years(guessing can't be bothered to look it up). Slick punch and clinch style, perfect to neutralize a hard puncher. Cons for Mitchell: No power. Went five years without a stoppage, there isn't anything there to keep KT at bay. Has been stopped twice, not sure if this will factor since it was early in his career; but it should be noted. He has been active, but against less than steller opposition...sometimes guys get used to fighting at the same level, this could affect his performance. Pros for KT: Power! That right hand is rested and should be ready to go, power is the last thing to go. Skill-wise KT has it; very patient and can adjust during a fight. While he has been inactive, he hasen't let himself go; he always looks like he is close to his fight weight, never out of shape. He may have some ring rust, but he dosen't have any ring damage. Cons for KT: Ring rust is the main factor, he will have some...its all a matter of how he compensates. Slow starter, will he let too many rounds go? Mentality, does he still have the desire to fight?...I think he does. There it is. I think KT will take it on points, but I say that with about a 75% surety.

Does anyone here not realise that MItchell has over 50 pro fights, and he's only had 6 since loosing to KT. Now everyone's going on about activity and Tszyu being injured - and I'm not saying it will be easy - But Tszyu has already fought Mitchell - He knows what to expect - He knows how hard he hits and has seen enough of him latley to know that A) Kostya hits a hell of a lot harder and more accurately than Lovemore N'Dou B) Yes, KT is getting on a bit, but for as much as KT could get old in the ring - Mitchell is NO spring chicken. C) KY has a huge psycological advantage - Everytime I see Tszyu Vs Mitchell I, I think - Mitchells corner must have used a crow bar to get Sharmba out of his dressing room - He looks like he's about to throw up with fear. I'm taking Tszyu as I'm a fan and I think he's just plain better than Mitchell -which is no disrespect to Sharmba, he's a top class pro, but Tszyu will win.

But i still go with tszyu. right, but trinidad fought a fighter made for him, someone who will just stand there and take it in the face. no way Tito would land 60% of his shots against a fighter that actually moves. tito was exposed by Oscar and Bernard. I think Kostya Is Going to win, I have a sneeky feeling ,I Live In Australia, and I have been lucky enough to see the Trainign of Tszyu, and man he looks better then ever, he is fully ripped, fit is quick, and he is sparring with great fighters like lovemore n'dou, who alot of people thought beat mitchell a while ago, I think Mitchell isn't good enough, he punches like a fairy as well. I go Tszyu TKO in 12 I like Tszyu and Mitchell, Kostya is a machine, but machines get rusty when they arent being used enough

What do you guys think will be the outcome. I think Mitch has a very good chance to win, purely on his activity level compared to Kostya's. In the 1st fight T manhandled him alot and wore him out but I thought the fight was close til Mitch's knee went and could of gone either way even though I thought T was going to win, I think mitch will pull this out with a split dec, just be slightly too slick and fresh for an older oft-injured Tszyu. Im going for Tszyu in this fight, but I have a feeling that Mitchell will come out on top. Tszyu has just been off way to long. make no mistake about it Prime Tszyu beats Prime Mitchell everday, but this aint Prime Tszyu.

Tzyu is gonna win this by knockout. Certainly, I have to agree that his layoff does give me pause, but apparently he's been weight training like a madman. Keep in mind that before his inactivity he was an incredibly strong 140 pounder, and I have to say that he's gonna manhandle Sharmba when they get in close, just like the first fight. Eventually, all that wear and tear on Mitchell's body (don't forget this guy is no younger than Tzyu) will force him to take the count. The kind of pressure Tzyu exerts is exactly what is needed to beat Mitchell.
