I've only seen Lacy fight a couple of times and had forgotten how big he is  , jesus from the weekend's fights he looks like he squeezes a bob sapp body into a 168 pound body LOL
He's one big, mutha, got good potential too.
I'd love to see him starch Calzaghe (I'm not a fan), Calzaghe can box a bit but his powers over-rated and he's a bit slappy with his shot's, from what I can gather Lacy just need's some experience against some more top guys, but apart from that he seeem's like a potential long - reigning champ.
Any opinions from you lot who seen him regularly and what you think of his chances against Green, Calzaghe etc
You just owned yourself, and admitted that you are a bitch ass bandwagon fan. I cant believe how much you were dissing Pavlik only to hop on his nuts when he wins. You are a joke.
:slap: The guy on the left is Antonio; guess who the one on the right is supposed to represent.
Stop posting.
He was losing from the start genius, but he was never totally out of it. He won 2 rounds in the fight. He wasn't ever completely out of it, and the bruises all over pavliks face at the end of the fight prove that. While Miranda had swells and his eyes closed, pavliks face was far from pretty after the fight. You obviously don't know what a close fight is, it's not always about whos winning on the rounds. Both kept attacking each other and never gave up. Thats close to me. It only takes one punch to change a fight.
No, he was never totally out of it, but it was completely clear from the git-go that he was clueless, and had no answer for the way Pavlik was pressing him. And I only gave him one round, but that doesn't mean that a Miranda nut-hugger couldn't find another round to toss his way. He did land a few big shots on Pavlik at different points in the fight, but he was never really in control of a round. You could've given him another round or two just as a charity. Pavlik may not be the more talented fighter, or have more power, but he proved that it ain't all about power and talent....that smarts, and determination have a helluva lot to do with it, too.
Oh, and about how beat up they looked after the fight: Miranda looked like he'd been beaten on for 12 rounds.....Pavlik looked like he'd taken a few shots during a bad round or two. Pretty much how it actually went.
But that was a close fight not a blow out even if Pavlik was winning on the scorecards. In this fight Calzaghe whoops this guy where he doesn't win one single round. You like Mirandas pp. I like winners in this sport, not losers. Go comfort your loser boxer, I will only like winners not losers. And Mirandas a loser. Loser makes excuses on why he was lost saying he was weight-drained. Excuses, thats the punk ass bitch you're still a fan of. A boxer who makes excuses about why he lost and can't admit that he just wasn't in Pavliks league.

Sorry, buddy, if you think that fight was close, you and I were watching them in different universes. Miranda was losing from the start of the first round. He simply never figured out a way to get Pavlik moving backwards, and I had him losing all but 1 round before the stoppage (which I felt was inevitable as early on as round 2). Don't get me wrong, he wasn't totally dominated, but it was painfully obvious that he came in without a real gameplan, intending simply to beat Pavlik into submission with his power. When he wasn't able to do that, his fight went down the shitter. I actually think that Miranda has the tools to beat Pavlik, but not the smarts or training. Plenty of wasted potential there.
Elite soldier your a dick how can you only like winners, you should respect everone that steps in that ring, and as for lacy he was battered for 12 rounds and still stuck in there even though it was hopeless and you dnt respect that your a prick if thats the case.
One that talk alot of shit before the fight and the ones that make excuses after the fight. Those are the fighters I hate... Oh, that perfectly sums up Miranda. He shit talked before the fight, but couldn't back it up in the ring. Because if he could, then he wouldn't have kept getting his ass dropped.
wasnt miranda talking alot before he fought Pavlik too??
I didn't dig it up really. I was looking for jeff lacy fights on google. And this happened to pop up on google.com, this forum and this post. Plus, its fun to bring back a topic where most of the ppl on it are sucking lacy's nutts. And he gets completely destroyed by calzaghe.
That's funny how you were all over Miranda on how he was gonna destroy Pavlik and he lost now you a Pavlik fan you're a fucking tool.
:lol1: I didn't dig it up really. I was looking for jeff lacy fights on google because I do like jeff lacy. And this happened to pop up on google.com, this forum and this post. With the exception of one poster, this thread was not to suck Lacy's nuts, it was a thread saying with more experience Lacy can pose a threat to Joe C.
And by searching on google, linking the site to boxingscene, reading the posts, and thenquoting and responding to the posts from at least a year ago, thats digging up old threads for no reason.:lol1:
When pigs fly :owned:
I think this topic is amazing. Amazingly retarded. You judged a boxer on the big muscles and not the skill level.
Top guy did beat him, and his name was Joe Calzaghe.
Wow you are such a fucking bitch.
Digging up old threds that make legitimate points saying that he believes Lacy would be a threat and could give Joe trouble if he fought a few top level fighters and was succesful.
What is the point of bringing this up?
I'm not denying he's good, he is no1 but I think green and lacy are a real threat.
I never liked lennox either but he was good, don't misunderstand me, even though i might not like the fighter it won't mean i'll not rate him.
By the way where do you download from, i've tried boxing torrent but keep getting no e-mail reply for my password.
Thanks in advance

Sorry dude got to disagree I think his power is over-rated, and true his style is effective cos he's still unbeaten but he hasn't beaten alot of world class men has he, Eubank was shot, You can argue a win for Reid, Woodhall was ready to retire anyway, Brewer was half shot and chinny - but still he never put him down!!, but fair play he did look good getting up to stop mitchell even if the ref was a bit quick( i still think he would of stopped him though) but then again Mitchell had a habit of going down too.
Fastish hands but I still say he's slappy
At one stage i hated watching Calzaghe because his hooks are good looking slaps but he's deserves his world number 1 rating.
He's not a one punch KO artist but its obvious he throws hard shots, He's been fed a lot of tough but limited fighter(except pudwill, that was a joke) and his KO ratio is very good.
I'd like to see how Lacy would cope with Calzaghe, i'm downloading the Vanderpool fight so it will give me a better idea of the winner. from past fights i'd say its easy nights work for Joe but i have heard Lacy has improved a lot.
