I mean he got knocked down and looked very akward, had the fight continued there is no question that Williamson would have set Wlad up with another right hand. Very poor performance on Wlad's part, no doubt he won the fight up to that point but he didn not look like a man who wants to take over the HW division.
He got floored by a man who was KO'ed by Baby Joe in round 1, Wlad doesn't have it anymore, he needs to hang'em up.
I just think that you are not giving Golota any benefit of the doubt. I am a big Golota fan and I have been dissapointed numerous amounts of time by his actions, but he is definitely one of the most talented heavyweights out there.
I thought we were talking about Ruiz.
Skinniest joke of a heavyweight around? He's still fucking bigger than Byrd, and looked to have made an attempt at copying Byrd's style, as well as having a much better punch than Byrd. I wish it had gone on, Wlad was only trying to fight into the late rounds to prove his stamina, and this bullshit happens. He catches Wlad with one shot and everyone says Wlad was on his way to being KO'd, but no one is talking about when the ref had to force Williamson to let go of Wlad because he was in trouble. The only fighter that was ever in trouble was Williamson, period.

This coming from a guy whose favorite fighter recently got a gift decision over a old, shot Golota and B level Oquendo. Now that's sad.

On November 13th 2004, Golota will prove that he is not old or shot. He will be the next WBA Heavyweight champ.
How does a win over Ruiz prove anything? A middle weight beat him. Ruiz has beaten nothing but shot fighters or trash recently besides his DQ win over Johnson.

So what, he got knocked down, balance shot or no balance shot, his bro wouldn't go down from a shot like that. Wlad is not the same fighter he used to be, he just doen't have it anymore.
....CITA, STFU and go SCBC like you always wanted to. Be sure to wipe your chin when your finished!!!!
I wasn't proving your point...I was stating that it's harder to comeback from a bad injury and inactivity than to come back from being KO'd by two bums. The thing is...Toney actually came back and dominated his bum. Wlad got KD'ed by the skinniest joke of a heavyweight around. That off balance stuff is nonsense. Wlad didn't get the job done and yet people still have the cojones to say that he's some sort of threat in the HW division. I like Wlad...theres no hating here. He's just a huge disappointment.
No one is talking about Toney's shattered confidence like they are Wlad's. Coming back from an injury is nothing compared to coming back from being KO'd by two bums. Think about it. Williamson is a top 15 fighter. Booker is a top 100 fighter. You should know better. How is the off balance stuff nonsense. Have you even seen the fight? Keep on hating.

Could you be more off?
I would like to know if you thought your boy Byrd looked good in LOSING to both Fres Oquendo and Golota?
He'll tell you as soon as he moves his preacher's nutsack off his chin...............
I just have one question to the Byrd fan and this is in noway sticking up for Wlad but since you like to point out that Wlad did not look good in this fight I would like to know if you thought your boy Byrd looked good in LOSING to both Fres Oquendo and Golota?
Regardless, he didn't fight like a fighter ready to take over the division. If he fights Ruiz or Brewster he'll get KO'ed for sure. Byrd may even have a chance to do that. Wlad's confidence is shattered and he is very afraid to get hit. When he does get hit he goes down.
He showed nothing great and even the Showtime commentators said that.
You've got to be kidding right? Your blind hatred for Wladimir shows in everything you say. But hey, ignorance is bliss isn't it?
Yes I think that's much harder to come back from getting your ass handed to you twice than it is to come back from an injury. Thanks for proving my point. 49-46 Wlad. Keep on hating.

Wlad wasn't coming back from a serious achilles injury and a huge layoff...he was coming back from having his ass handed to him twice by subpar heavyweights. The outcome of this was very disappointing for me. Wlad needed a convincing win. James trounced Booker...Wladdy was KD'ed and may have been KO'd if the fight had lasted longer.
I still say Toney would not have a shot against Wlad and I like Toney alot. Wlad's supposed weak chin seems to be a myth. Yes he got knocked down off balance, but anyone watching the fight could see he had a clear head and won the rest of the round. Toney just does not have the power or ability to avoid punches at heavyweight. Toney is the better all around fighter, but size matters, and even this Wlad would Ko any Toney. That is why there are weight devisions.

Since when is telling the truth hating?

Yeah one cannot forget that TOS was extremely inactive, can you imagine if somebody were to bull rush Wlad, it would be Sanders all over again. Not only that but one of the very few shots TOS did throw, put Wlad down.
