i think Chavez retired he hasnt fought since plus he got married maybe he dont wanna risk himself no more plus when he did have both hands he was way more open for shots as in da second round

Taht would suck though, Morales/Pac is a more hyped up match. even tho i want to see morales fight pacman i still wanna see barrera fight pacman again. pacman destroyed barerra when they fought the first time and he defeated him well. however if barrera has any pride (which im sure he does) he will wanna get in the ring to try and avenge an embarassin loss, which i think he is capable of doin. but it will be very hard to do because manny is an incredible fighter. even if morales loses to barrera i still think he will fight pacman. nobody thought that barrera would fight morales again after his one sided loss to pacquaio but now its a reality. i think manny will fight all 3 mexicans next year. i also think that when barrera does fight manny again, i think if he wins or loses he should retire. morales and pacquiao are the only 2 meaninful fights left for him in my opinion. he has had a great career would have won titles in 3 weight classes (if he beats erik) and if he were to retire by defeating morales and manny, that would be the perfect way to go out. after these fights, in my opinion he has nothing to prove, he already is a mexican legend and a hall of fame fighter. there aint too many top fights at 130lbs (maybe joel casamayorger), and i think 135lbs would be too much for him.

i dont think it will affect him too much, if it was a fight at 135lbs then i would think barrera might have some trouble but when barrera was at 122lbs and stepped up in weight to fight hamed at 126lbs it made him stronger, even tho hamed was the natural featherweight at 126lbs. i expect barrera to come in stronger at 130lbs too, i even have a feelin he might come in just under 130lbs, maybe 128lbs. at 122lbs and 126lbs when barrera and morales fought barrera hurt morales A LOT more than morales hurt barrera. i aint takin anything away from erik, he is a GREAT fighter and in my top 4 P4P list. but i think barrera will be out to prove a lot of people wrong and he will be very motivated for this fight, a lot of people think he is past his best, hes finished, he should retire, etc.. a lot of people thought those same thoughts when he lost to junior jones and when he fought morales for the first time these same questions and thoughts were being aimed and labeled towards him and if you look at the performance against morales he was far from finished. i believe barrera will rise to the occasion and if/when he does beat morales it will set up his rematch with pacman nicely. There's no way that Barrera KO's Morales. It'll be another great fight for sure but I don't think that it'll be as close as the first two. Morales will probably take it by a clear decision or late stoppage.

LOL :D I said Steward, Lampley and Merchant along with myslef saw it in slow mo in three different angles and said we must have been dreaming and you said I guess so or something like that. I downloaded teh Jones MAB fight RIGHT after we argued. Watched it three times. What I saw is MAB getting hurt in ROUND 5. That's it. 1-4 he was fighting back. Pac knocked him down in three rounds and pummelled him for the rest of the fight. MAB had NOTHING. He couldn't even fight back. It was like watching a mismatch. Against JJ. MAB's corner jumped in the ring just as the bell rang. But MAB could have made it out. DQ. :rolleyes: Teh body shots were taking a toll on Morales. If you couldn't see that, time to get yer eyes checked.

Uhhhh I was watching Chavez-Morales. (Is that all you can say before making a post??!!??) This from a guy who said JJ gave more of a beating to MAB in the first fight than Pac, and telling me my avatar wasn't a KD. LOL You're actually telling me Chavez was better off injuring one hand. Pffffff :D After the knockdowns, Chavez was on the defense a bit. He was too damn excited, riled up, and prolly a lil nervous. When he stunned Morales then he went for broke. Yeah his hand was protecting his head when he injured it, but he sure could have damaged Morales with it as well. Morales slowed down as well. Like I said, it deserved a rematch. *rolleyes* pay attention jr. you the guy calling for a rematch in a fight where the was obviously no need for one. I never told you it wasn't a knockdown, I told you I didn't remember it. Look up the thread and check if your not sure. Have ever even watched the first Jones/MAB fight? cause I highly doubt it. yes im telling you that if Chavez had not hurt his hand it would have ended with him getting KO'ed just like Manny Stewart said and just like Teddy Atlas said. There would have actually been openings for Morales. Why do you do this to yourself?

what fight were you watching? Morales won that fight 10-2 on my card If Chavez had not hurt his hand he woulda been KO'ed, because Morales would have actually had openings. Oh yah no doubt Morales dropped JC hella bad in the second. I gave Chavez the first. But didn't you guys see Morales fade as the fight progressed? I mean Chavez fought with one hand and I think I even gave him a round or two. If he could throw taht left hand that many times for 9-10 fucking rounds, I'm just imagining what he could have doen with both hands, his right even stunning Morales on a couple of occasions very early in the fight. I think that's reason enough for a rematch.

Because it wasnt close when both men had both their hands? Also Chavez failed to make anymore noise after that fight no one even knows if his arm is good now.
