Why didn't anyone write off Tyson after he lost once to Douglas and twice to Holyfield? The reason was that Tyson had talent. Wlad also has talent but people insist on writing him off, why is that? One reason I can think of is because he is European and white and people are fucking racist towards him because of it. No one wil admit to it but I am sure that is the reason. Tyson and Wlad aren't in the same boat. I do see what you are saying however. I don't think it has anything to do with his race. There aren't too many people running around on this forum calling white boxers "crackers" or other slurs...however you do see people calling black fighters "darkies" and so on (Eyeh8you for example). It would be sad if people wrote off Wlad because of his race, but I think it has more to do in the fact that he is somewhat disappointing.

I agree completely. But you could also use that as an argument to say that this is the only reason why people think Wlad will become champ aagain. In almost any other era Wlad would have been written off long ago. He is being given these second chances becasue he is a marketabe figher in a medicore division. However this doesn't mean he will become champion. And add onto that how weak the division is under 30 years old. The heavyweight division is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

It's all mental with Wlad. No one in the heavyweight division has the skills that Wlad posseses. This guy is so fucking talented but his mental make-up after his last two losses is what may eventually do him in. Not his lack of talent.

It depends on how bad the loss is. If it is really bad, then he should retire, but if he loses a close fight, I think that he should go back to Germany and fight a bunch of tomato cans in order to get his confidence back.

i think wlad still has heart and can do this..i think he can land on his feet then move onto bigger fights..i would even pick wlad over toney..wlad has good reach and if he fought the way he did against Lamon the first 2 rounds he would ko a lot of people..anyway i am more of a VK fan(but still think he needs to have better fight to prove he's here to stay)..but tonight wlads fight and how he looks will make up a lot of peoples mind
