Heavyweight contender Dominic Breazeale is a big underdog this coming weekend.

Breazeale will challenge WBC world champion Deontay Wilder at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Wilder is one of the most feared punchers in the sport, with 39 knockouts in his 41 fights as a pro.

Most observers are picking Wilder to win the fight by knockout.

Breazeale has won three in a row since getting stopped in seven rounds by another heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua.

Breazeale does not plan to shy away from Wilder's power and he feels confident that he can take the shots.

"I'm ready for Deontay's power. I will feel it and smile straight back him. And as the guy who prides himself on knocking everyone out he will then think... 'oh, sh*t,'" Breazeale said to Daily Mail.

Breazeale believes that he can punch just as hard as Wilder and has no problem with a toe to toe fight to prove that he's capable of decking the champion out cold.

He also says Wilder has dropped the ball with holding the championship - as far as being the heavyweight world champion of the people.

“In the heavyweight division, if you can’t knock out someone with your left hand or your right hand, you have no reason to be in this division. To say he has devastating power, I don’t know. Power is power. When he hits guys with his right hand, they go down. But when I hit them with the right hand, they go down as well. I said this at the original press conference announcing this fight, but we’re going to let the leather fly and we’ll see who has power. Hopefully, he’ll be able to get off the canvas,” Breazeale told Yahoo Sports.

“I’ll tell you what, when I get this title, I’m going to change the heavyweight division. I’m going to do some things that the heavyweight champion is supposed to be, the people’s champ. The heavyweight champ shouldn’t be an untouchable individual. He should be visiting schools and soup kitchens and setting up different events to help people that they can look forward to. It’s something Deontay Wilder hasn’t done in the four years he’s had the belt, but it’s going to be a bit priority for me.”
