According to recent reports coming out of Kentucky, former welterweight champion Zab Judah has plans to turn the city of Louisville into a strong fight town. Judah recently jumped from promoter Don King to sign with the Memphis based Prize Fight Promotions as part of a strategic move to help jump start his plans to start his own promotional company.

Judah, one of the most well known New York fighters, is looking to turn the current boxing scene around in Louisville and help bring the city back to it's former boxing glory.

“We could bring Louisville back, you know what I’m saying? Louisville’s the home of Muhammad Ali, Greg Page, I mean, this is huge, you know what I’m saying. We just need a little bit of hope out there and I guarantee we can make this town the next Las Vegas, I promise you that,” Judah said.

Judah is currently in Louisville helping promote a local card scheduled on July 28.
