Former 154 lb. titlist Yuri Foreman seeks his third straight win as he faces Jamaal Davis in a scheduled eight-round main event Wednesday evening at Roseland Ballroom in New York City.

Both fighters made the contracted weight for their bout, which tops an eight-fight card as part of the long-running and widely successful ‘Broadway Boxing’ series. Select fights – including the main event – will air live on streaming website GoFightLive TV.

Foreman came in at the super welterweight divisional limit of 154 lb., where he has spent most of his career and where plans to continue to campaign. Davis (14-9-1, 6KO) was slightly heavier at 155 lb.

Foreman (30-2, 8KO) fights for the third time this year – all of which have taken place on the Broadway Boxing circuit – after returning to the ring following a near two-year absence. The Belarus-born New Yorker briefly pondered retirement following back-to-back knockout losses to Miguel Cotto and Pawel Wolak, the latter occurring in March ’11.

The loss to Cotto served as his lone HBO-headlining appearance, as well as the featured attraction in the only boxing card to take place at the newly renovated Yankee Stadium.

Prior to the two-fight skid, Foreman reached the pinnacle of his career, scoring an upset points win over Daniel Santos to earn a 154 lb. title. He conceded the crown to Cotto in his lone title defense.
