In the latest edition of the Tampa Tribune, middleweight Winky Wright expressed his anger and disappointment over picking up a draw in his bout with middleweight champion Jermain Taylor, which took place this past Saturday in Memphis. The judges scores it a draw, but Wright feels he won by a wide margin.

"I beat that dude in his hometown. I'm not mad at him. I'm mad at the judges. This is what boxing doesn't need. People always say boxing needs this and boxing needs that. I beat the man in his hometown and I didn't get rewarded for it. Taylor is HBO's baby. The judges took it from me. They gave him a draw in his hometown. I was up three or four rounds on that dude. He didn't do anything in the fight, and when he threw, I was picking off all his punches." Wright said.

Wright claimed that Jermain Taylor ran the entire fight, that he pressed forward and hurt Taylor, causing the undefeated fighter from Arkansas to retreat. Wright, like Taylor, said that at no point within the twelve rounds of action was he hurt by a punch.

"I dictated the fight. He was the one running. He is the one who ran the whole fight. How are you going to tell me I didn't fight him? I came forward the whole fight. He ran. I don't even want to talk about that."

When asked about a rematch, Wright said the is not interested, but at the same time he also said that if they (Team Taylor) want a rematch, they would have to show him the money.

"They don't deserve it. I got cheated. I'm tired of being the one who always is giving in. If they want a rematch, they're going to have to pay me for it. Right now, I'm declining. I beat their boy point blank."
