Holding a major stake in the contest, middleweight Winky Wright, one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the sport, tells Robert Morales of the LA Daily News that Oscar De La Hoya will beat Floyd Mayweather, Jr. when the two fighters collide on May 5, 2007.

While Wright has nothing, but respect for Mayweather, he thinks that the undefeated welterweight champion will be too small for the much larger, and stronger De La Hoya.

"I see a great fight," Wright said. "I think Floyd is a helluva fighter. I take nothing away from him. But I think Oscar will beat him because I think Oscar is bigger, stronger. Floyd is very quick but I think Oscar is quick and Oscar hits much harder. I think Oscar wins the fight."
