WBO/IBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko took a shot at his next opponent, WBA heavyweight champion David Haye. Wladimir was impressed by his older brother's recent win over Odlanier Solis. At the end of the first round, Vitali Klitschko dropped Solis with a right hand to the head. As he fell, the 2004 Olympic gold medal winner injured his right knee and couldn't continue.
Wladimir is under the impression that Haye is avoiding a fight with his brother because the talkative Brit, according to Wladimir, believes he's the tougher of the two Klitschkos. The contract Haye recently signed is a deal to fight either brother, although Wladimir is the first in line.
"You can see why David Haye chose to fight me and not my brother. He was incredible," said Wladimir. "David is definitely going to say to Vitali 'I will fight you down the road but Wladimir is next because he is weaker'."
