Undefeated heavyweight Deontay Wilder (30-0, 30KOs) would love to fight British contender Dereck Chisora (19-4, 13KOs).
Chisora had a good 2013, capturing the EBU championship and gaining four TKO wins over Hector Avila, Malik Scott, Edmund Gerber and Ondrej Pala. He will make his 2014 debut on February 15th at Copper Box Arena in London.
Wilder also entered the ring four times in 2013, stopping Nicolai Firtha, Sergey Liakhovich, Audley Harrrison and Matthew Greer.
Wilder and Chisora were at one point in talks to fight in July, but Wilder had a legal issue that prevented him from flying over to the UK.
Recently, Chisora released an open letter where he pleaded with Wilder to fight him.
“I’ve seen the letter. Let him keep writing them, it was a lovely letter,” Wilder told The Fight Club. “This fight will happen, I definitely want it to happen and it would be an easy fight for me, I’ll show people what I can do.
“His style is tailor-made for mine, I love a pressure fighter because I don’t have to do much other than just let my arms go. I’m tall and I use my range well.”
