Jack Massey will return to the ring next month.
The Chapel-en-le-Frith man, who campaigns at cruiserweight, has been out of the ring since a first-round demolition of Russ Henshaw back in March.
But the 24-year-old will make a comeback on October 21, exclusively live on BT Sport and BoxNation, after teaming up with a new managerial outfit.
Massey (12-0, 6 KOs) recently left Steve Wood and signed terms with Puerto Banus-based MTK Global.
And they revealed via social media that their latest recruit will fight at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, as part of the supporting cast to Josh Warrington’s final IBF featherweight title eliminator against Denmark’s Dennis Ceylan.
“Anyone I step into the ring with I’m determined to beat,” Massey said shortly after the news was confirmed. “I’ve got a good knockout record and I’m looking to get out and put on a show for the fans on fight night.”
Massey is closing in on his first title and is confident the opportunity isn’t far away –– and a big performance in front of a raucous Leeds crowd looks set push him firmly into contention.
“I’m undefeated, training hard every day and ready for those titles. I’m well positioned in the British rankings and before too long I’ll be there.”
Tyrone Nurse will defend the British super-lightweight title against his mandatory challenger Jack Catterall on the card and there is a whole host of other action.
Zelfa Barrett and Chris Conwell will clash for the vacant English title at super-featherweight, Damon Jones meets James Metcalf in an official eliminator for the British super-welterweight title and Reece Mould, Sam Maxwell and Lyon Woodstock are joined by former Team GB starlet Jack Bateson and Jack Daniel, who is set to make his professional debut.
