Former WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew (29-2-1, 19 KOs) is very confident in his ability to defeat WBO heavyweight champ Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KOs).

Bellew moved up to the heavyweight division back in March, and pulled of a big shocker when he stopped former heavyweight champion David Haye in the eleventh round.

But if Bellew had his choice, he would have been signing a contract to fight Parker.

The public was demanding a rematch with Haye and Bellew was eager to satisfy their wishes.

Bellew was fare from impressed after watching Parker's most performance. Last month in Manchester, Parker had a very tough time in winning a twelve round unanimous decision over undefeated mandatory challenger Hughie Fury. The fight was very tough on the eyes, with a lot of holding, punches missing and very little drama.

The Liverpool fighter does not view Parker as a world class heavyweight and believes that any size or power advantages by the champion would be nullified by skill.

"There is a big demand for this rematch, let’s be honest. I’m giving the fans what they want to be totally honest. But if I had my way, I’d be signing off on the Joseph Parker fight. I can beat Joseph Parker in my sleep," Bellew told betsafe.com

"I think he’s a strong young boy, he’s got age on his side and durability, but that’s where his advantages stop. My boxing skills are far better than his and I’m quicker than him. I do think he’s the stronger man, and obviously the heavier man but, I’m just not fussed on Joseph Parker, I don’t think he’s a top fighter or one of the best heavyweights in the world. And I’m one of the them, and I’m not even a proper heavyweight. I’m just a fat cruiserweight.”
