Tony Bellew (30-2-1, 20 KOs) says he would beat up Adonis Stevenson (29-1-1, 24 KOs) if they ever met in a rematch.
The pair fought in November 2013 for Stevenson's WBC light heavyweight title, with the champion stopping the challenger in the sixth round.
Since then Bellew, 35, has found success and momentum at cruiserweight winning European and world honours. And in his last two fights 'Bomber' got his feet wet at heavyweight defeating David Haye on both occasions.
"I can fight Tony Bellew and beat his ass again. I could go to England and fight at catch-weight and knock him out again," Stevenson, 40, recently told Premier Boxing Champions after the ninth defence of his 175lb world title ended in a draw against Badou Jack.
"He's got no real aspirations to fight me," Bellew told Boxing Scene of the noise Stevenson has been making.
"If he comes anywhere near cruiserweight I'll deal with him inside six rounds. I'd probably say even within four. I would just beat him up. There's not a chance in this world he could hurt me at cruiserweight.
Bellew, an occasional pundit for Sky Sports, watched the highly entertaining Stevenson-Jack fight on May 19 and gave his opinion on it to 'Scene.
"First of all I think the fight was very good. I thought Badou Jack done enough to win in my opinion. I thought he closed the show really well. And I thought he was the better fighter on the night. Stevenson still has that power, that equalizer. It keeps fighters honest. His range and distance is still good. What I will say is he's slowed down a bit."
The former WBC cruiserweight champion added that all the advantages that Stevenson once had over him are now gone.
"There's nothing he could do.
"I always said the minute I move up in weight I'm a different animal. I'm a different beast. I think people are starting to realise that. They see that since I've moved up. Light heavyweight was a weakened, tired version of me. The cruiserweight version... like I've said... it doesn't look great on the eye, I'm not saying I'm the greatest technical boxer in the world, I'm not. But I make certain adjustments, certain moves that other fighters don't make. It's clever, that's all it is."
