Tahmir Smalls, Abel Ramos, Arturo Cardenas and Emiliano Vargas are among the fighters who have been added to the February 28 show headlined by a junior lightweight unification match between Emanuel Navarrete and Eduardo Nunez.
Navarrete-Nunez is being hosted at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, and will stream on DAZN.
Smalls vs. Ramos will serve as the co-feature, according to a press release from show promoter Matchroom Boxing. Smalls, 16-0 (11 KOs), is a welterweight prospect who won four fights in 2025, culminating in a unanimous decision over the 14-1 Jose Roman Vazquez in October. Ramos, 28-6-3 (22 KOs), hasn’t fought in more than a year, dating back to his November 2024 draw with 147lbs titleholder Mario Barrios.
In a battle of unbeaten junior featherweight prospects, Arturo Cardenas will face Jordan Martinez. Cardenas, also known as Arturo Popoca, is 17-0-1 (9 KOs). His two wins last year included a wide decision victory in December against the 19-2-1 Cesar Vaca Espinoza. Martinez, 16-0 (15 KOs), had four victories in 2025, all by stoppage, coming against opponents with records of 9-2, 9-2-1, 6-26-1 and 8-10-3.
A junior welterweight fight will pit Emiliano Vargas against Agustin Quintana. Vargas, 16-0 (13 KOs), is one of the fighting sons of Fernando Vargas Snr. The last of his four wins in 2025 was a near-shutout decision over the 19-3 Jonathan Montrel in November. Quintana, 22-2-1 (13 KOs), had just one bout in 2025 after nearly a full year away, coming one point on one scorecard from shutting out the 11-4 Walter Cordoba.
Matchroom Boxing named several other prospects who will be featured against opponents still to be announced: junior welterweight Trini Ochoa, 21-0 (9 KOs); junior middleweight Hector Beltran Jnr, 6-0 (5 KOs); welterweight/junior welterweight Rahman Muhammad, 1-0 (1 KO); and junior featherweight Phillip Vella, 4-0 (2 KOs).
