A source from the side of WBO/IBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KOs), said he expects the unification fight with WBA champion David Haye (25-1, 23KOs) to "definitely get made." Negotiations are ongoing for a late spring or early summer showdown.

Talks "are going well," according to Golden Boy Promotions CEO, Richard Schaefer, who handles Haye's affairs in America. Klitschko is advised by Shelly Finkel, and, promoted by K2 Promotions.

The two sides are trying to find a date that will work for two major television networks; Sky Sports in England and RTL in Germany. And the date of choice must also work with the venue. The fight is unlikely for April and will potentially take place in the month of May at the earliest.

"I don't think that it is going to be in April, but you know they are working on some dates. Basically, the negotiations are going well," Schaefer said. "It is a matter of coordinating the dates with the two major networks, meaning Sky in England and in the networks in Germany and then finding a site that works."

"That's basically being coordinated, but I doubt that it's going to be in April. The negotiations are going well, and it's clear that both camps want the fight."
