Both Adam Azim and opponent Steve Claggett came in under the 140lbs super-lightweight limit ahead of their fight at Wembley Arena on Saturday.

They top the Boxxer bill that will be broadcast on BBC 2 and iPlayer in the UK. Azim weighed 139lbs and Claggett was 0.3lbs heavier.

Promoter Ben Shalom believes the bout against the tough Canadian could be his last before challenging for world honors, should he come through unscathed.

Azim, 23 and trained by Shane McGuigan, had been due to fight Gustavo Lemos earlier in the year but both fighters got injured and the fight was shelved.

It means the lightning-fast Azim has not boxed since his 12th-round stoppage of Kurty Scoby last November.

Calgary’s Claggett has stopped his last two opponents since a mundane decision loss to Teofimo Lopez. He is 40-8-2 (28 KOs) while Azim is 14-0 (11 KOs).
