Promoter Gary Shaw, who has one more fight remaining on his official contract with WBO/WBC champion Timothy Bradley, has already spoken with Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, regarding a possible summer showdown with WBA king Amir Khan (24-1, 17 KOs) of England.
Last Saturday at the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan, Bradley (27-0, 11 KOs) dethroning WBC champion Devon Alexander (21-1, 13 KOs) by way of a ten round technical decision.
"I'm working on a fight with Amir Khan and another fight, but, you know, Amir Khan is the only one that I want to go on record with," said Shaw. "I have spoken with Richard Schaefer about Amir Khan and about a fight sometime in the summer."
