WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez had recently put down a challenge to Manny Pacquiao, who holds the WBC title at 154-pounds, and the WBO title at 147-pounds. Martinez believes Pacquiao is too small for the two of them fight, but if Pacquiao plans to defend his WBC title - then Martinez will move down to challenge him for the belt. On November 13, Pacquiao won the vacant title by winning a twelve round decision over Antonio Margarito. The title became vacant after Martinez moved up to 160-pounds to beat Kelly Pavlik for the middleweight crown in April.

Martinez, who last Saturday knocked out Paul Williams in two rounds, is confident the same exact thing would happen to Pacquiao.

"I'll win by knockout. It would be a total destruction," Martinez told FanHouse. "[To become the best pound for pound] is my dream. I don't want to sound like a jerk or anything, but that's how i feel."
