Several Polish sources are reporting that middleweight Sebastian Zbik (30-1, 10 KOs) is backing away from a potential fight with EBU champion Grzegorz Proksa (26-0, 19 KOs). A recent purse bid was held, and the winner bidder was Sturm Boxing, which is run by WBA champion Felix Sturm. They want to stage the fight on a March date in Germany.

The issues appear to be political.

One of the problems, according to some parties, is the fact that Sturm is major division rival to both Zbik and Proksa and now he controls a fight between the two men. Zbik is also promoted by Universum, the former promoter of Sturm. Universum and Sturm had a nasty split, involved with a legal battle, and Sturm managed to break away and started a rival promotional company.
